LOVE the craftsmanship of this piece. Beautifully made, gorgeous packaging, and outstanding customer service. The only drawback is that my neck is too small so it sits on my collar as a necklace more than the choker look I was going for. Other than that, it's perf!

A little larger than I expected, but still gorgeous and I wear it frequently!

Rings are more brass looking than the pics, but nonetheless still pretty and what I was looking for. Shipped right away but never received it and when I contacted the seller, she was very prompt and responsive and shipped me a replacement right away. Great customer service!

The Story

Absynia is a lifestyle brand offering consumers a chance to move away from the mass produced fashion's of today that all look the same. Fueled by a global aesthetic, Absynia carries only handmade, artisan jewelry and unique vintage items.

Behind the designs, the photos, and all things Absynia is me, Elle Lewis.My designs are influenced heavily by the African diaspora and the cultures within. Using wood, precious stone, metal,shell and other earthy materials, I aim to bring the unexplored to the wearer.
I have been designing jewelry and creating since first learning about the high cost of cheap, imported fashion. After becoming aware of the prevalence of worker abuse and child labor in factories overseas, I became concerned with the role I played in this global market and where money was going and her things coming from. Absynia was created from this concern and continues to expand around the concept of returning to handmade, to quality and the kind of transaction where the consumer would know the hands that crafted their purchases.

Today, Absynia caters to men and women who express themselves and their values through their fashion and company choices. Because of their high expectations and standards, Absynia is always evolving, reaching out to new artisans and mining local cultural events and stores for new, interesting materials. Be sure to follow the blog and twitter to see previews and to get to know me.

Welcome to Absynia!
The idea behind my shop is very simple: no one should look the same. So I hand craft one of a kind pieces for those who like to express themselves through their clothes and accessories. I select unusual vintage pieces for the same reason: unique self expression at home or in the streets.
Unless other wise stated, there is only one of each Absynia piece so if you see what you like grab it right away!
I'm also open to customizing a piece for you so feel free to message me!

Additional policies and FAQs
...."" For custom orders::....
I appreciate each and every custom order and do my best to create your dream piece. The best way for me to do that is to have as much detail from you as possible. Once I know what you want, we can work from there.
Because custom orders are created for you, before any work is done a materials deposit is required. If you are making a modification to a piece that is already in stock, this may not apply. This is case by case.

>>>>Because the materials for your custom order are specific to you, the materials deposit is non-refundable. If you decide to cancel a custom order, you will get a partial refund. <<<<<<

A completed custom order is non-refundable. I try to insure happiness with custom orders by including you in the entire process and communicating as much as possible.
