Loving the new maxi length skirts. Perfectly cool and flowy for summer.
It's all about donuts. Donuts in shorts and skirts in both blue and black.
With Kentucky Oaks next week these horses bow ties for men and boys have been galloping out my sewing studio. I love the color combo on these bow ties and the random color horse on the print creates such interest.

About

Handmade clothing for girls, boys and women with Jamaican inspiration!

Hello and thank you for taking time to browse my store AckeeTreeClothing. My name is Kimberly, I’m originally from the beautiful island of Jamaica, but I am now located in Charlotte, North Carolina in the USA. This is my third Etsy shop and it is an extension of my original store JamaicaStores. Both of these shops specialize in bringing Jamaican items and style to a worldwide audience. AckeeTree mainly focuses on my handmade Jamaican-influenced clothing for girls, boys and women including tutus, bandana dresses/shirts and special occasion outfits, while my original store includes authentic items exported from Jamaica.

I studied Human Resources and education at school. I worked as a lecturer for years before health issues and relocation forced me to seek out new opportunities. As such, the idea for my etsy store was conceived.

I taught myself to sew years ago and I have always made custom Jamaican clothing. I love being able to incorporate my background into my items with bold colors and simple, elegant styles. I’m big on customer satisfaction and I enjoy working on new designs that customers love. I get a thrill when customers tell me that other people have asked them where they got their outfit! I strive for excellence and it’s my goal to be the best at what I do!

I opened my original Etsy shop in 2012, but I started getting serious about selling my handmade clothing items around Easter 2015 when I opened this new store. My website customers wanted handmade clothing without waiting for it to be shipped from Jamaica. I noticed customers were searching for girls’ clothing so I started adding girls’ items, then adult skirts and finally dresses. Boys’ bow ties were introduced in response to requests for matching brother/ sister outfits and boys’ clothing.

My other etsy stores are JamaicaStores and ItsandBitsSupplies for sales of crafting and sewing supplies. My business website is www.jamaicastores.com.
Feel free to send me a convo if you have questions about any of my items or would like to inquire about a custom order.

Caring for African fabrics

For best results, be gentle with your African fabrics. Wash gently and tumble dry low. Hang to dry is also a great option. Iron with warm, not hot iron. Preferable to iron on reverse side of the print.

Natural Variations in Fabric

Some of the African fabrics have natural variations in the printing process. This is normal and to be expected.
