Acuarela bikinis are handmade with love and passion by myself, Lindsay Smith. I am originally from Vancouver, Canada but moved to Mexico in 2008 to pursue my dream of living on the beach and creating beautiful swimwear. When I am not out surfing and testing out my new designs, I am sewing and creating in my small studio in Pescadero, Baja California Sur.

All the suits on Etsy are made as they are ordered and are available for custom sizing too. This is a much more efficient way to order swimwear online because you are not taking a chance with a regular size. For custom sizing, I will need: Bra size, hips, waist, height, and weight.

First I create a pattern from scratch using your specific measurements. I take into consideration your height and weight to ensure an exact fit. Next I test the fabric and judge which areas would look best for the style of top or bottom and where it stretched most. Once the bikini is cut, I begin the sewing process. Depending on the style, I may use up to three different machines followed by a small section that I sew by hand. Once the piece is finished, I cut any remaining threads and check for any imperfections. When I am completely satisfied with the finished product I wrap it up with extra love and send it on its way to you.
