About

When I got back to sewing, embroidery became my medium.

A few years ago I left my job of 23 years to return to school full time, and finish up a book I was editing. When I was just starting my second semester, and the week my book was due to my publisher, my 46-year-old husband died suddenly. I was lost, I couldn't make it through the semester, and my book did not get published.

As I was trying to put my life back together, I got out my old sewing machine, just to recover some pillows, and remembered my love of sewing. It saved me, and as I got deeper into the hobby, I found I could combine my love for design, computers, and sewing through digitizing software and a sewing machine. I felt I had found my medium.

I started making things for friends and family, but I needed a job. so I decided to make a job for myself doing something I loved. I do work for local individuals and businesses, and now I've expanded to Etsy.

I started out here on Etsy with the vintage and scrapbooking items that I had been selling part time for years, but now I find I'm moving into more custom embroidery. I do all the work myself from design, to stitch out, to shipping.

I love working with my customers and coming up with something unique just for them.
