AdorableHarvey was created shortly after I found out that I was pregnant with my first baby. I wanted to create nursery art that was sweet and gender neutral. The Little Animal originals are colorful acrylic animal portraits built on top of watercolor underpaintings. I was looking for ways to decorate the nursery area in our small one-bedroom condo that was adorable yet not overpoweringly “baby”, since we would be sharing a bedroom with our little one. The first 4 paintings of the series (Little Orangutan, Little Lion, Little Giraffe, and Little Zebra) were painted specifically for this purpose. I had so much fun with this project that I decided to keep it going and see what became of it! My Little Animal paintings are a continuing series that I hope can decorate the nurseries and bedrooms of little ones all over the globe. Enjoy!
