I started making jewelry over 20 years ago on the beach in Hawaii. I picked up shells, seeds, and sea glass and strung them on hemp. I learned to wire wrap and macrame and my early pieces were very crude but still retained the beauty of nature from which the materials came. I later learned bead weaving with tiny seed beads and made intricate patterned pieces on and off the loom. I made the tiniest of beaded baskets and teaponts with the smallest of glass seed beads. During this time, I learned about crazy quilting and embellishing with beads. My love of everything vintage started at an early age and has blossomed into something deeply creative. I scour flea markets, antique stores, thrift shops, garage sales, attics, and online stores; anywhere I can find once loved but still perfectly lovely pieces that I can transform or incorporate into something dreamy. I use many different techniques and styles and have no rules or regulations that I hold myself to, other than it has to be of utmost quality and workmanship!! I have made custom pieces for everything, including weddings and a special memorial piece for a mother grieving the loss of a baby. I believe jewelry transcends time and place; the perfect piece can make you feel like a princess or bring out that edgy side of you; it can bring an entire outfit together or evoke memories of loved ones gone home. It can be as simple or as intricate as you feel for any given moment, day, or event. Jewelry is an outward statement of who you are on the inside. Life is too short to wear department store, mass produced, lifeless jewelry. You are one of a kind; your jewelry should reflect that and I can help you achieve that~
