I was hesitant about ordering these earrings, thinking they would be tacky or too heavy, I'm happy I did order them, they are light weight, they look great on, I just love them, they will be one of my favorite pieces in my jewelry collection. Rachel is not only talented, she is kind and gives excellent customer service!!!

About

Making Life Beautiful. One bead at a time.

Oh wow, where to start? Well I could start at the beginning. I was born, I grew up....etc. That might take a while though. Let's just say I have been crafting in some form all my life. From the age of three when my mother tried to teach me to crochet and I got so frustrated that my three year old self threw it across the room. Still haven't learn that yet, but I do plan to someday. I come from a long line of crafting women (I'm sure there are some men in there too). My mother has been making our Christmas ornaments since I was knee high to a duck. I remember my first homemade ornament was a McDonald's stir stick dipped in glue then rolled in glitter. Instant icicle. My Aunty Pixie sews and does needle point. My Aunty Suzy makes jewelry and loads of crafts for children. My grandmother does Ceramics and gardening. So, yeah, long line and all. I have been beading for several years, though I am relatively new to trying to sell my work online. I always just made them as gifts for friends and family members. I have interests in lots of other crafts as well and would love to start re-purposing unused items into beautiful, wanted things. I think I just got ahead of myself there. Sorry about that. Where was I? ....oh yea... So, I got told how many compliments people would give on things I made and that I could really make some money if I sold them. So here I am hoping that you like what you see and decide to make it a part of your own collection.

When I first decided to try my hand at online selling, I chose a rather impractical business name, Aelaeoni Creations. It's a rather long story dealing with online gaming and growing up in Hawaii, but needless to say, pronouncing it wasn't very clear, nor was trying to remember how to spell it. So, The Sorted Bead was born. I would love to open a bead store here in Lexington, Ky., where I live. We only have the big chains like Michael's and Hobby Lobby. That name would be perfect for it. I also would like to have shop here on Artfire for beading supplies.

A little about me and my family, I just turned 41 on the 6th of October. My oldest turned 20 the same day. Betta was born on my 21st birthday, and was the best birthday present one could have, even if she did come into this world disobeying her mother. Next came Rowan. He is 19 and loves to read just as much as I do. And then, there is Willow. She will be 11 in November, and acts like she is already a drama filled teenager. Willow is my diva princess. Rowan is my gamer geek. And Betta is my scholar and writer. I also have a step son, Liam, who is 6 years old and loves Thomas the Tank Engine. He lives in Virginia with his mother. My husband, John, is an over the road truck driver, which is why I get to stay home with my children and do what I love to do. He loves driving but does wish he could be home more so he can play Modern Warfare 3 on his Xbox. When I am not beading, I love reading or watching my TV shows. My favorite authors include Anne Bishop, Dean Koontz, Laurell K. Hamilton, Praticia Briggs and Christine Feehan. My favorite TV shows are procedural crime shows and just about any paranormal drama. Movie wise I love horror flicks and fantasy flicks. Besides beading and wire wrapping, craft wise I enjoy creating graphics on my computer, scrapbooking, writing, and photography. I am currently in the process of learning to sew and would love to learn to sculpt.

Hi, I'm Rachel and I own this lil slice of heaven on Etsy. I am 41 years old and a mother of three and a step mom to one. I have a wonderful husband that has a great job so I can stay home and do what I love, crafting, mothering and wifeing.
