Announcement    Summer is here!
Our colorful beadwork is perfect for outdoor parties! Celebrate the warm weather with some of our necklaces with colors perfect for the summer. For a limited time we are offering a special 20% discount, Code: SUMMERTIME (enter at checkout). The iconic RBG necklace is a timeless treasure, and a fitting tribute to the first Black woman justice on the Supreme Court, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.

All our beadwork is handmade by the Shona beadworkers of Zimbabwe. You will benefit these artists in Africa who really need your help.

What’s more, you will help women everywhere: We have always donated a small portion of sales to EMERGE, a non-profit that empowers women and trains them to work in government, and the original candidate we helped has just announced her first run for public office! About AfricanBeadsForGood

Sales 91
On Etsy since 2020

By purchasing from our store, you are supporting:

1. Skilled craft women in the African country of Zimbabwe, which is currently suffering extreme poverty and deprivation -- especially with the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic and Zimbabwe once again being in lockdown. These women produce exquisite work but have no opportunity to sell it for its real value. We help bring their craft to an appreciative market, and every sale directly benefits the makers. They are in need of sales more than ever with the increase in the difficulty of shipping them overseas. Please consider supporting their artistic journey by purchasing one of their exquisite necklaces!
2. A portion of each sale also goes to a non-profit organization that promotes the advancement of women. Our initial offering honors the trailblazing Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg: this necklace or "collar" was her favorite (as seen on the cover of Time Magazine), and the non-profit beneficiary is EMERGE - https://emergeamerica.org, which seeks out and trains women for public office.

African women have been doing tradehand beadwork for many generations. One design was chosen by RBG and we offer a facsimile as the perfect gift to honor her and to celebrate Women's History Month. Their other designs vary in color, size, and shape. We offer variety here and also custom orders.
