My name is Stuart, and I am the creator behind The African Gallery. Following my travels across various regions of Southern Africa, I recognized a unique opportunity to share the beauty of these exquisite art pieces outside Africa. My mission is simple: to both showcase and support the incredible talents of artisans from these regions by offering their beautifully crafted products.
Every element behind the products I showcase is ethical and sustainably sourced. Our most iconic product, the Ebony Wood Vessels begins from gathering wood to the intricate lathe-turning process. We are dedicated to ensuring that each artisan we work with receives fair compensation, eliminating any intermediaries that could disrupt this chain of support.
Furthermore, we are committed to giving back to the communities that inspire us. A portion of every sale – a direct 5% – is devoted to our water well initiative. This endeavor guarantees continued access to clean drinking water for these communities. We will be actively sharing updates on this initiative through our Instagram account.
