When I found my passion for jewelry...
my world shifted and now I never want to leave my studio!
My path to becoming a jeweler began when I attended a local weekly meeting of a metalsmith group that meets in a friend's workshop. There was only one other artist there that creates jewelry, but it was there that I learned about John C. Campbell Folk School and I was online applying the next day.
The class at J.C.C. taught me the basics or soldering, sawing, filing, and forming, but it also allowed me to see that I had talent in creating and that working with my hands in this way felt so rewarding. I returned home full of inspiration with a growing list of tools needed to stock a home studio.
For me the joy of metalsmithing is the everyday experiment of combining mixed metals under fire to create something wholly new. It never stops being fun for me because each piece I create is one-of-a-kind and therefore, a new challenge to pursue. I am always so pleased when I take each piece out of the tumbler and view its beauty.
I now have my work at several stores and galleries around town and have had several shows of my work in these galleries. I am also grateful to have Etsy as a platform to sell my work. I have really enjoyed interacting with other sellers and so many sweet customers on Etsy. Thanks for reading my story!

I personally love copper rings but some individuals will find that copper can leave a light green color on their skin (due to your own body chemistry). This is natural and not harmful - in fact, wearing copper is good for our health! You may coat the ring with a thin layer of nail polish if you wish to keep the copper from contacting your skin.
