I used this during SaltCity Steamfest this past weekend and loved the gun! Nothing came loose or broke after two days of running around the convention and I got lots of complements (many people asked where I got it). And great prop for random photoshoots so I’m very happy and can’t wait to use it again.
Combat corsetry and aetheric inventions.
Merriweather Tech was founded because of Unhallowed Metropolis and a gaming convention LARP.
When, several years ago, Samantha Merriweather wrote her first game, in the process she realized she really enjoyed games that came with props. Props were a lot more fun when they were personalized. And personalization was a lot more interesting when you did it yourself.
So she began imagining guns, and giving them unique little stories, that fit with the games she was writing. Eventually, this branched into actually making guns with stories for games. Finally, she was just making the guns and stories when there wasn't an upcoming game.
She prides herself on creating props that are affordable, but absolutely unique, because she likes to see costumes filled with clever little details, and realizes that not everyone has hundreds of dollars to spend.
Owner, Designer, Maker
Samantha Merriweather writes and runs role playing games, in addition to making props, guns, and costumes. She is fascinated by historic clothing, and anachro-punk twists, heavy on the punk. She is also a young adult author.
I pride myself on creating unique items for personae of all social classes and occupations.
My devices are sturdy, often with moving parts, and always designed to be worn. They're created specifically with cosplay, LARP, conventions, and other costuming events in mind. (As with any hand-made item though, please treat your device with caution.)
Each piece was created with its own back story in mind, and a product spec sheet can be included at customer request.
All the technology is hand created, and no two items will be exactly alike.

Additional policies and FAQs
I love custom orders! But just like no piece of tech is the same, custom orders may come out different than you expect. I create in the spirit of the request, but can't guarantee specific details.
Custom orders require a $10, non-refundable down payment but if you don't like the end result, you're not obligated to buy it.
