A newly completed Juliet cap veil that's now ready for a customer.
Stunning bride Sarah very kindly send me some lovely pictures from her recent wedding. Doesn't she look beautiful! Congratulations to her!
I'm just completing this beaded comb and birdcage veil set for a customer. The decorative comb is separate to the veil so it can be worn on its own for your reception party once the veil has been removed.

Just doing what I love ...

I previously worked making costumes for the film industry, and through that I was able to work with many beautiful antique dresses and accessories. This has been very influential on my work. I've also studied fine art, and painting has been an important influence as well.
I took a break when my children were small, and as they grew I started to develop my range of hats, headpieces and veils, and my business also started to grow. My husband Paul now helps me and uses his skills with metalwork to produce the tiaras and combs I design.
I'm now lucky enough to do something I really enjoy and fit it around my family life.
I consider what I do to be quite different from whats on offer from the more mainstream bridal fashion, and I do everything myself, from answering customer questions to packing the orders and going to the Post office, so this is a small and personal family business
I really love it when I see my pieces being worn by customers and they style things in their own, very individual way.
You can read more about me here-
I am always thrilled when a bride sends along a picture and I have an album on my shop Facebook Page so others can be inspired by their different styles of wearing my veils and headpieces.
'LIKE' my Facebook page to see lots of behind the scenes pictures, news, sneak- peeks of up-coming collections, as well as lots of beautiful 'Real Brides'.
I have now moved into a small communal studio in London, and everything in my little shop is designed and carefully made there only by me. (Except for my metal pieces which are designed by me and assembled and wired carefully by my husband ).This does mean that I can get very, very busy and sometimes (during 'peak wedding season' times like spring) I occasionally have to close to new orders until I've caught up!
Do bear this in mind if you are considering placing an order,(and of course, its always good to allow as much time as possible before your wedding.)

Best Wishes

My products are individually MADE TO ORDER and only by me. (Except fot the metal-work pieces which are designed by me but made by my husband!)
I take great care over each piece. This can mean that making time can vary depending on the volume of orders I have received.

CURRENT PRODUCTION for sewn items (hats and veils) is between 2-6 WEEKS
The metal and crystal combs and headpieces will take 2-4 weeks
Rush orders are sometimes possible.Do send me a message to discuss which hat/headpiece/veil you are needing, and I'm happy to help if I can.

By making a purchase I will assume that you agree to the policies written here.

I reserve the right to substitute similar materials using in creating my headpieces, hats and veils if those shown in the pictures become unavailable. I would only do this rarely and only if the difference is small, and by careful consideration. (Be reassured I have huge pride in my work and would only do it with confidence that it was equally nice or nicer)

As I am also a Mum, sometimes there might be a very, very rare occasion when I have to slightly extend the making time (for example,if one of my kids is ill and not able to go to school). I thank you for your kind understanding, and I always do my absolute best to not have any delays at all!

Accepted payment methods

I currently take payments through PayPal, but don't worry if you don't have an account. As you go through the PayPal checkout, it will offer you the opportunity to pay as a PayPal 'Guest' using your credit or debit card if you prefer.
I use an international parcel service that is fully trackable and requires a signature on delivery. It goes through the British post office who then pass the parcel to your countries mail service for delivery. It often takes 10-14 days to USA,Canada,Australia etc. Its shown itself to be a safe reliable, affordable service (in my experience) but it is not guaranteed to arrive at a certain time and there always a chance there will be delays for customs etc.
Although I will do all I can to help in the event of a problem, I can't be responsible for delays as Its simply beyond my control.

In the event of your countries CUSTOMS charging any fees then the buyer is fully responsible for these.
Each country is different, so do find this out if its a concern for you. This is your individual country's way of collecting sales tax, and each country has different systems, rules and limits.
It is illegal for me to state that the item is a 'gift' on a customs form, so please don't ask me to do that.

For delivery within the UK I use Royal Mail 'next day delivery' when the order is more than £90, otherwise it will be sent with 'first class signed-for' .

I will always pass on the 'tracking number' to you once the parcel is sent.
For a guaranteed 5 day service an international shipping cost is around $47-$67 depending on the size and weight of the individual item. Contact me to discuss this option.

Please do be sure to check that the address on the invoice at the time of purchase is correct and is your current one. I can't accept liability for any problems relating to parcels being sent to an incorrect address as i'm sure you'll understand.
Refunds and Exchanges
I realise its sometimes difficult purchasing items over the Internet and I am always happy to send fabric samples free of charge for colour matching to your wedding gown.
My hand-sewn hats, veils and headpiece items are 'made to order' especially for you, to your individual requirements. Because of their delicacy, and the considerable time involved in me individually making them, I'm afraid am unable to give refunds.
For the smaller metal and crystal items, such as the forehead-chain and combs,(items where you don't specify your individual hair-colour) I will exchange or refund them if you find them unsuitable. (Shipping costs won't be refundable)
However, you must notify me by email within 5 days of receiving the item that its unsuitable. I will then give you the return- post details and I will require you to send it back with 7 days using a trackable mail service .Please send it in its original packaging
.Once its back I will issue a refund.
Please do feel free to ask me questions before purchase.I pride myself on great customer service and I always do everything I can to make sure you get a really perfect piece. I often send extra photographs and discuss details with my customers throughout the making process.
I will answer your message as soon as I can, but as I don't employ anyone else to assist me, during busy times it can take 48hrs or occasionally more for me to reply. Thanks for your patience.

Please allow as much time for shipping as possible before your wedding day ! I can't guarantee shipping time as its beyond my control, but I will advise you roughly how long parcels are taking on average to each country in my recent experience.
Additional policies and FAQs
Because my hats and veils are all genuinely hand made only by me, there were a few times last year when I had so many orders that I had simply had to 'close' to new ones for a week or two in order to catch up.
I really don't like having to do this, but for the sake of my stress levels and to maintain quality it sometimes is unavoidable however hard I work.
This tends to happen in the run up to Summer,so its best to order early,as soon as you have decided you definetly want to make a purchase.
Info on the types of tulle I most commonly use
For most my long veils I tend to use a British made 'English net'. This tulle has a soft handle and is very drapey and flowing. This is a synthetic, nylon tulle but hangs in a similar way to a soft silk. I really like this tulle and it fits my style well and I choose to work with it a lot. It has the advantage of creasing less than real soft silk tulle, but it is still very delicate and need care taken with it.
