We are two passionate people with big hearts, Benoit & Sarah.
Our story has its roots in Nepal, a country rich in traditions and renowned for the wisdom of its people. This story, first and foremost human, was the beginning of an adventure that would change not only our lives, but also those of many others...
In April 2015, Nepal suffered one of the worst natural disasters in recent decades, a terrible earthquake plunging many inhabitants into a profound human and material tragedy.
Deeply moved by the beauty of this country and the kindness of its people, our vision was simple: to provide aid to the local population. After this terrible earthquake, our goal was to support the artisans who found themselves without work, without a home, and often in great poverty.
This is how we founded, in 2016, a small organization to resell these products all over the world, to preserve the know-how of local artisans.
But, over time, we discovered something deeper, something that inspired us to go further…
During several extended stays in remote regions of Nepal, we were touched by the strong connection of the inhabitants with nature and the ancestral practice of singing bowls and shamanism.
Sarah, a professional musician, is passionate about this holistic approach using sounds to guide the body and mind towards a state of deep well-being.
Fascinated, we began to take a closer look at the benefits of these practices on ourselves. Encouraged by the results, we decided to train with local and international masters (Diane Mandle), then came training as a Master Practitioner in Hypnosis for Sarah.
We then integrated this approach in France, by creating a wellness space offering hypnosis, meditation, sound journeys, poetry workshops, massages, etc., in Besançon, in which we provide our unique training courses, adapted to everyone.
Our commitment has contributed to maintaining and developing the activity of many artisans, but also to providing material and financial aid to isolated programs in Nepal.
Agoya Store has thus made it possible to introduce a range of products inspired by sound therapy, such as traditional instruments (like Tibetan bowls, drums and gongs) which are manufactured locally and exported, thus creating a sustainable source of income.
Over time, this initiative has allowed us to focus on collective well-being while preserving and promoting Nepal's traditional knowledge. Our small business has become a true benchmark in the field of well-being, combining local development, support for local crafts, and holistic practices.
Today, Agoya Store has a clear impact on hundreds of people who are financially supported for their business.
Many artisans have seen their living conditions improve, while maintaining and developing their business.
This success has proven that it is possible to develop a business while remaining deeply committed to the values of solidarity, respect and sustainability.
