As a four time repeat customer, I feel the vendor's work speaks for itself, but just in case you're not familiar, the realism is outstanding, I love each and every piece and you'll never be disappointed purchasing a piece of art from this shop.

About

For the love of animals...

As a little girl my bedroom was overflowing with stuffed animals and Breyer horses. My shelves overflowed with books on dog breeds, nature and wildlife alongside my sketchbooks filled with drawings of them. I loved biology, anatomy and art (especially sculpture) in school and always looked forward to the next field trip to the farm or science museum. As a child I raised a puppy, had pet rats and a hedgehog. My first job was training horses at a stable. Now I have a small farm nestled in the mountains of western Maine and most of my time is spent tending to my animals and observing the wildlife that is so abundant around me. I get so much enjoyment from felting animals because through it I am able to express my appreciation for nature and bring back the feeling I had as a child, when the world was simple and animals could talk.

Using my hands to create beautiful and useful things is central to my life. I have been drawing pictures for as long as I can remember and I still love to take out my sketch book and doodle from time to time. I’ve also tried my hand at oil painting, watercolors and hand spinning yarn. I even worked as a carpenter for a couple years and I still get a lot of enjoyment from the odd home improvement project. Whatever the medium, I’m never happier than when I am creating something with my hands!

So now I needle felt life like miniature animals with wool from my own sheep. I hand dye many of the colors with plants from my garden and the forest around my house in Maine.

Ainigmati ( pronounced ah'ee-nig-ma-tee ) is a Greek word that means darkly, or literally an enigma - a riddle or unanswered question. This word explains the philosophy that motivates my work. Nature holds much that is half revealed and we ourselves possess a hidden mystery.
I offer a glimpse of the mystery I see behind reality.

'For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face... '
Biblical scripture

I am a quiet, shy person who is most happy when making something with my hands- be it anything from carpentry to oil painting. I always derive a great deal of pleasure from trying new art forms and creating beautiful things.

    Creator

Noelle is my mom, my best friend, and fellow needle felting genius. She makes the horse portraits and a few other special pieces from time to time. She raises dairy goats to make cheese and shares the delicious milk with the whole family.

Payment
Because of high demand for my work there is a very long wait time for orders placed (currently 5-6 months). Please contact me for an estimated delivery date if you are concerned about timing.

PayPal or credit card (processed through Etsy) are my preferred methods of payment. I will not ship items until payment is received, if you are paying by check it must clear before the item(s) ship.

If you wish to cancel an order just let me know as soon as possible.
Shipping
Most items ship via USPS Priority Mail within the US. International packages are normally shipped via Priority Mail International. All shipping costs include insurance and a tracking number which will be emailed to you when your package ships.

Expedited shipping is available for both US and international orders. Please let me know before placing your order and I will give you a price quote.

After your order ships it should arrive within 2-5 business days inside the USA and 6-14 days for Canada. Overseas shipping times vary depending on the country, but are generally about 2-4 weeks.

Any VAT taxes, customs duty or other country specific taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. I cannot mark packages as "gift" on the customs forms. I cannot write in a lesser value amount. Hiding the value of imported goods is illegal and could get me into a lot of trouble, so please do not ask me to do so.
Refunds and Exchanges
If for any reason you wish to return your purchase I will happily refund the original cost of an item minus original shipping costs - IF - you return the item(s) in their original condition to me within two weeks of when you received the item(s). You, the buyer are responsible for paying the return shipping unless the return is because of a mistake on my part. I also request that you purchase a tracking number and insurance for the full value when returning a package.

Exchanges are also welcome. The above conditions also apply to exchanges, plus the wait period for creating the new item still applies.

Please inform me if you suspect a lost package or if there is damage when it arrives - I am happy to replace or refund. Your satisfaction is very important to me.
Additional policies and FAQs
My main goal is to make you happy by creating unique and beautiful art for you to enjoy and by providing a pleasant buying experience and friendly correspondence. I love interacting with my customers and I always welcome your ideas and requests.

I AM HAPPY TO RESOLVE ANY SITUATION, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK. If you are unhappy for any reason please let me know and we can work things out.

Please don't be shy about asking for custom felts or artwork. I always love creating at your request. I always photograph custom felts and post them as a reserved listing in my shop so you can see it before you buy. I will gladly make any reasonable changes you may wish. You are not required to purchase until you are completely satisfied with your felt.

I am happy to reserve a specific item listing for you but I ask that you purchase that item within 7 days unless we agree otherwise. After 7 days or the agreed time period I will make the item available for anyone to purchase.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
My felted animals are delicate and are meant for display only. As with all 100% wool items, my felts need to be kept safe from moths. They will not hold up to the wear and tear of use as toys. Keep them out of the reach of young children. Please keep them out of direct sunlight and away from pets. Dogs and cats are especially attracted to the smell of the wool and probably think they are hunting a real animal. They can cause large amounts of damage in a very short period of time, so please take care. If, in the unhappy event that Kitty or Fido get a hold of it I am willing to make repairs for free provided the damage is not too bad. I will make a judgement call based on pictures of the damage provided by you.

I hope you enjoy your hand crafted felts! Please check back now and then to see new work listed in my shop. Thanks so much for looking!
