Frequently asked questions
Sizing details
I do state a size in each listing which is approximate and normally within 1 inch. Please contact me with questions or for a custom listing for the size you need.
Custom and personalized orders
If you see something you like, but it isn't the right size or color please contact us and we will quote you a price. When ordering custom signs and rope letters please proof your order to assure you get the proper name. We do not send email picture proofs unless they are requested.
Wholesale availability
We do offer wholesale pricing. Please contact us for our price line sheet.
Cleaning and Care
All recycled Alaskan ropes can be safely cleaned by hose or pressure washer. Avoid use of chemicals. Most of the rope is made from polypropylene, which is a type of plastic that will not stain, run, or bleed. These mats can be vacuumed as well or swept with a firm broom.
Jute & Manila Ropes are made from natural plant fibers so they are affected by the environment. The ropes will shrink in damp or wet conditions and loosen in dry. If left in constant dampness could cause mildew to form so dry quickly. Vacuuming is a great way to clean the ropes and if needed spot clean with mild soap and cold water-rinse well and dry naturally after reshaping flat
Misuse
We cannot be held responsible f our knotted items are used for purposed for which they were not designed for or as we described. Please contact us with questions and we can advise if item is suitable for that need.
Recycling
I like to re-purpose, reuse, recycle wherever I can but sometimes it is unavoidable. Maybe you can reuse what I send you. I try to use all recycled materials and paper bags for much of my packaging.
I do not include a receipt in packaging so if you need one please print it from Etsy or ask me and I will email you a copy.
How to hang Rope Letters
I get asked this question most often. We found the best way is to tap a few finish nails or small brads in each letter directly into wall. While others framed each letter then hung frames. Letters do not stand on there own. If you would prefer we can attach them to a piece of wood that you choose finish of. Please contact us for a quote if you want a custom size or sign made.
