The story of one functional potter

I graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BFA in studio art and a concentration in ceramics in 2007. Although I studied many different media in college, I took one throwing class as a sophomore, which fueled a passion that has been humming along ever since. While there I studied under Peter Beasecker, with additional tutelage from various adjunct professors and visiting artists, including Matthew Metz, Julia Galloway, Beth Cavener-Stichter, Jeff Oestreich, Linda Sikora, Louise Rosenfield, etc. I share living space with my husband Aaron, my young daughter Rosalie, and our two erstwhile stray cats Melvin and Mau. I also proudly own and show my two Peruvian Paso horses. My very first horse Azucena was their mother, and she had a profound impact on my life as the beloved only mount of a forming teenage girl. She was a chestnut (the word in Spanish is "alazan") in color and she became the namesake for my studio. As for my history in the pottery studio, for ~7 years after college I worked in porcelain clay thrown on a pottery wheel with various decorative methods, fired to cone 10 in salt or soda. I am currently working in slab-built white earthenware with original stamps and underglaze decorations.

Returns and exchanges
If a purchase is lost or damaged in my posession after payment and prior to shipping, I will refund the total paid amount (purchase price + shipping). I endeavor to adequately photograph and describe all pieces, but please make sure you ask for any additional photos or details prior to purchase because I do not accept refunds due to the fragile nature of my work. Payment
Please make payment via Paypal within 3 days; if you need more time, please contact me to reserve your item/s. I must receive payment before shipping. Thank you for your understanding.
Shipping
I almost always get packages out within 1-3 days. I ship via USPS with tracking and insurance. I am not responsible for loss or breakage once the package has been handed over to the shipper, which is why I insure all packages.
