Announcement   Collectible paper, vintage jewelry, housewares and holiday decor, retro toys, advertising items and other "must haves" fill my one-woman "little shop of wonders". Welcome to Abreda's Attic, my little spot for all of those vintage finds that I can't pass up but can't keep either! I'm an auction/flea market/thrift shop/estate sale junkie. Personally, I collect vintage postcards and paper items, holiday decor, retro toys, estate jewelry, religious items, eggs, cat/lighthouse/dragon themed items, and more. I hope that my many hours spent digging up my own little treasures will allow you to find something here to suit your taste. Feel free to suggest things I can "keep an eye out for" via a convo outlining what you collect!

I have two other shops on Etsy for my hand-crafted items.

One sells my artwork, crafts and buttons, Bunny's Hutch. It can be found at http://www.bunnycaw.etsy.com

The other is a co-op which I belong to here in Baltimore, Maryland named "Baltimore Babes". Things are just getting up and running there, but please stop by to see what my girls have in store for you!

Check them out at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/BaltimoreBabes

I hope you will check them out!

I love this collection of cards! It worked out to only be about 50cents per card. What a great deal!

Although I'm fairly new to Etsy, I have years of Ebay selling "under my belt" and have over 300 feedback with NO NEGATIVES, so buy with confidence. I have another shop here under the username TwistingTheRope which sells hemp and other handmade jewelry. My third shop here on Etsy (actually my FIRST Etsy shop) offers my crafts and artwork as well as my buttons which range from cute to oddball. They can be found at Bunny's Hutch under the username, BunnyCAW. I am always scouring the flea markets, auctions and estate sales for the best "neat junk" I can find. So please check back often.

Accepted payment methods

  • Money Order
Payment
I prefer Paypal but I will accept money orders, but they will cause a delay in shipping your item until they clear. If you are ordering from outside of the USA I must ask for Paypal. I do reserve the right to relist an item and cancel the sale if you don't pay for the item within a reasonable time of purchase. (About 3 days if using Paypal, or a week if paying by money order. International buyers get a little more leeway. I will try to be reasonable. If you need more time to pay and communicate that to me, I will work with you.)
Shipping
I ship through the USPS exclusively.

My shipping day is Friday, or whenever you order, depending on either my whim, the weather, or if it is approaching a holiday and I'm trying to get things to you ASAP. I try to stick to Fridays just so that I only go to the PO one day a week instead of six... saves gas, you know, and I do have a "real job" which keeps me from making daily runs. I use standard first class postage unless the item is a book (which can go media mail if you insist, but that is a "slow boat to China" scenario). I will gladly adjust the shipping to Priority Mail if you need it faster. International buyers, please note, that you are responsible for all customs fees and/or taxes on items sent into your country. I cannot pay these for you, nor can I guarantee that your package won't go into "customs limbo" for ages since it is out of my hands, and tracking is not offered on overseas shipments. This is not me being unreasonable, but just a reality. I will work with you to minimize the hassle, but the shipping time and other tariffs are out of my hands.

Items will ship the first Friday after purchase.

If the item is listed as coming in some special packaging such as a gift box, etc., then it will. Otherwise expect most jewelry in bubble mailers, paper goods in stiff mailers, soft items in bubble mailers, etc. If you want something as a gift, please be advised that for Paypal orders I will ONLY ship to the address on file with Paypal. (Again, they don't offer me any protections if I don't do this. Paypal's rule, not mine.) So, try to order in plenty of time that you can repack and send the item to its intended recipient. For instance, during the holidays mail is slow, so order items earlier!

I will ship internationally, however international buyers will have to convo me to calculate exact shipping. I can't possibly calculate out the shipping to every country ahead of time, as it would take me a whole day to do a listing! I don't wish to sound prejudiced, but I do reserve the right to refuse a sale to a customer in a country where shipping has been an issue. For this reason, I prefer North American and European customers, but I will try to be fair to everyone. Please convo me for the shipping before you purchase, if you are not within the USA. And please realize that out-of-country shipping will not just slow down your shipment, but also might cost you customs fees or other fees as the item enters your country. These fees will be your responsibility and I will have no way of tracking your package because tracking over national boundaries is either prohibitively expensive or downright impossible.
Refunds and Exchanges
I try to be reasonable on my shipping, using plenty of padding and good materials to get the item to you in perfect shape. I do recycle packing materials as we are very green at our house, so please don't be offended if all that it comes wrapped in is not brand new! However, I've never had anyone complain about a broken item yet in years of selling on Ebay.

I CANNOT be held responsible for loss or damage due to the post office's negligence! So, if you want it, I can amend your shipping to include insurance or other services. I will NOT accept a return for any item unless it was clearly damaged due to my poor packaging (this hasn't happened yet!) or unless it is not what you ordered/what I described. (ie. the ad was for a scarf and you got a hat, or the ad was for a blue necklace and you got a green one...) This doesn't mean that I don't want you as the customer to be happy, but I cannot "eat" the shipping on items that a customer simply "doesn't like" once they receive them! So, unless the mistake is mine, no returns will be accepted or refunds given, sorry! Also, should you receive a damaged item, I will have to either see a photo of the damage or receive the broken item as a return before issuing a refund. I hate to be "hard nosed" about such things, but too many people abuse trust and make it hard on everyone else. Remember that vintage items are sold "as is". I make it a point to describe all damage that I can find as carefully as possible. If you have any questions, please ask them before you complete your purchase.
