Marbling involves color and chemistry: floating paint on a base of thickened water and making beautiful patterns, both traditional and free form. I lay silk or paper on top of the paint to create a one-of-a-kind print. I absolutely love that magical moment when I get to pull up the material and see this unique piece of art. Through the magic of print-on-demand, I am now able to reproduce my patterns into a variety of products. All items I sell are created from my own original art.

My colors primarily come from nature. I like to look at the overall character of a season and try to grab that feeling and interpret it, but I also like to look at nature details and blend them together to create an overall impression. For instance, one daylily can have 4 or 5 shades of the same color, creating a whole picture out of many parts.
