5 out of 5 starsOur whole house recently burned down in January 2020. I loved this painting as soon as I saw it. I just knew it deserved a place on our new kitchen. This artist is very kind and accommodating. I’ll update with a photo once we move back in. Thank you so much. You are truly talented.

5 out of 5 starsVery happy with this sweet little painting. I am reminded of how rarely one sees ground cherries at the greenmarket and I smile.

Original Oil Paintings To Feed Your Spirit
I've been painting since I was seven years old. I remember when my parents gave me a canvas and some oil paints to experiment with. They didn't give me any directions or tips, just let me run wild. It was an amazing experience that stuck with me to this day.
I studied fine art in New York and got my BFA in 2000. I experimented with many different mediums including painting, installation, sculpture, and even public art. I've shown my work in galleries in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Paris, and Florence. Somehow, I always come back to painting as the most genuine form of artistic expression for me. In a way, painting is like meditation. You go into an altered state of mind, into a different world. While I paint, I forget about everything else that goes on around me. Sometimes, after a couple of hours in front of my painting, I step away and realize that I'm dehydrated.
Most recently, I've been doing daily painting. This is a challenge that you impose on yourself to do a new painting every day. These paintings are small, tend to have very loose brush strokes, and a very fresh, alla prima feel. Doing a new painting every day pushes the artist to experiment and play around with different techniques. It also fine tunes the eye, allowing me to notice more in the subjects I paint. I always paint almost exclusively from life, and not from photographs, which allows me to see the subject from different angles, and notice all the minute detail and subtle color changes across light and shadows.
I do my daily paintings on small boards that are primed with at least 3 coats of gesso for an archival surface. I use high quality artists oil paint to ensure that the paintings can be enjoyed for many years without yellowing or changing in color. As a medium, I use pure linseed oil, which give the paintings a rich shine and finish.
Will Paint For Food Project
In 2015, I've started a new project called "Will paint for food". The idea is to paint pictures of food every day for at least 30 days, and donate the profits from all the sales to help feed the hungry. I think that art has the power to change the world. I want to do my small part in making a difference. I want to know that my paintings have great homes, with people who care about the world. In the end, everybody wins – you get a beautiful painting, the hungry get meals, and I know that my art has a great purpose.
