Aliame - it's Latin for the 'One for Me' or 'Different Me'. At Aliame we weave truly artistic silver stories for you!

When a true reflection of self is not just a fad!
If you like all things modern and contemporary then Aliame is for you
When making a statement is more than just talking!
If you want each piece of your jewellery to tell a unique story which expresses who you are, then Aliame is for you
When supporting craftsmanship is not just a thought!
If you have a discerning taste for quality handcrafted art which showcases the best of Indian craftsmanship then Aliame is for you

I am a solo woman entrepreneur founder of the brand Aliame - my range of fine 925 sterling silver jewellery. The pieces are all personally designed by me and I get them made myself by sitting with the artisans in the workshop so that my thoughts are translated just as i intended and for ensuring excellent polishing and finishing.

The designs are all modern, contemporary and one-of-a-kind with an equally unique story behind them. Each collection has a theme and each piece has a story to tell.

I have showcased my collection in exhibitions and have received really rave reviews on my designs and product quality. People have said that they have never seen anything like this before both in terms of concepts and finishing on silver. As you can imagine that for an artist this is the biggest compliment and as a business person I know there is an audience for my product.

I come from a middle class working family and therefore have started Aliame with my savings after working for more than a decade, first in the jewellery industry in Mumbai and then in Marketing mostly in Bangalore, India. Since I am trying to build a premium brand on a shoestring budget you can imagine it's really difficult. But I still dared to do it simply based on my passion and knowledge of jewellery :)

I have a decade of experience in designing, overseeing manufacturing and marketing jewellery for a range of high end international clientele like Links of London and Erickson Beamon from London, Leslie Greene and other high end designers in US. I gathered this experience working with export houses in Mumbai which emphasised the importance of quality in jewellery. I then left the jewellery industry and moved onto roles in Marketing starting from sales to offline marketing to digital marketing for luxury sector, hospitality and consulting.

I was recently also invited by the Etsy community here in India to talk about my successful Etsy journey and provide inspiration and help to the budding creative artists :). I was such an amazing and surreal experience and honestly so proud to be a part of this wonderful community :)

Here is some of the media and press coverage we have received recently:-
1. We got featured in Business Standard in both an exclusive web article and also in the print version with the likes of Tribe by Amrapali and Tanishq.
It's an editorial feature on the emergence of Silver jewellery as a preferred choice among the urban Indian woman. Here is a link to read the article on my website - https://aliame.com/pages/aliame-jewellery-in-business-standard-article-on-silver-jewellery-trends

2. There was another feature, this time on one of the most famous content and fashion portals 'iDiva'. This iDiva coverage we didn't even know about until we started seeing referral traffic to the website :)
Here we are as the top among the "5 Silver Jewellery Brands That Will Appeal To Millennial Aesthetics" - https://www.idiva.com/fashion/buys/5-silver-jewellery-brands-that-will-appeal-to-millennial-aesthetics/photogallery/18005944

To read about my story here is an article from a big publication in India which covered my journey :) - https://sheroes.com/articles/women-entrepreneur-jewellery-designing/NzA3OQ==

Frequently asked questions
What if I receive a damaged/defective item?

Every piece we make is unique because each of them are individually handcrafted, therefore please accept minor variations in the size, shape or colour from that shown in the picture.

After all even identical twins are also not exactly identical to each other ;)

We do our best to ensure that each piece which is shipped out undergoes thorough quality checks and is free from any defects. Still, if you find that the product is damaged or defective, please email us the pictures of the product within 3-4 days of receiving the order.

We will definitely do everything we can to make you happy :) even if it means shipping another piece to you at no extra cost.

Care instructions

Aliame jewellery is Rhodium plated which means it won't turn black like normal silver. Rhodium plating also prevents them from tarnishing for a couple of years and storing it in airtight bag will prolong it's life much further.

Keep your silver jewellery away from water and any chemicals like perfumes or deodorants, never spray these after you wear the jewellery. These are corrosive in nature for any jewelry.

Our pieces will stay as wonderful for many many years with these little tips :)

There are also silver polishing cloths available in the market in case you wish to bring the gloss back. I personally use 'Hagerty Sa Silver Duster' which is quite nice.

Customs Duty and Taxes

USA has a much higher import ceiling and usually do not attract any customs charges.

Most countries in Europe, UK and Canada typically charge a custom's duty/tax on products being imported.

Please note that as per Etsy and our shop policies, the buyers are responsible for any custom charges to be paid. I am afraid we can't control it from here thus the buyer is requested to take care of the same at their end.
