My illustrations are of people, long hair and samples of nature. My figures are in a state of happiness and transformation. The single figures are alone on the paper, in a state of change to a more naturalistic being. The couples I draw are together in everyday acts, entangled in their own realities.

I explore the relationships of my subject matter with a variety of pen lines on paper. The marks range from organically chaotic to tedious and neat. There is space for mishappenings in the artworks.

People are the happiest when they are in nature, or surrounded by imitations of nature. Whether humans like it or not they are part of nature. We are connected to the earth. However, we have effectively spaced themselves away from the natural habitats. My figures approach this in their composition, the solitude, and the earthly connection. The couples explore the link of happiness between two natural beings.

I come from a multicultural background. I was born in Latvia but had most of my growing up years in Ireland. I currently reside in Austria. I have achieved a BA in Fine Arts from Crawford College of Art and Design located in Cork, Ireland.
