Announcement    I am an Independent Illustrator/Designer living in the beautiful Northwest. I channel Inspiration from life events, the beauty of the Oregon Coast, and Bob Ross's 'Joy of Painting' to create a unique array of characters, landscapes, and designs.
I utilize Artrage, Corel, Paint.net, Adobe, and my trusty Wacom to create original illustrations, abstract photo manipulations, and patterns.

Art is a passion for me and an awesome therapy for the array of challenges motherhood and coping with fibromyalgia and agoraphobia presents.
As a mother and aunt to four children that struggle with a spectrum of special needs that challenge their everyday life, I have encouraged them to use artistic expression as an essential part of our routine and a tool to decompress and unwind. Gifts to them from me have a frequent theme along the drawing supplies persuasion. I want to give the kids special memories of art to keep with them, help them through some of life's trials.
One of my fondest memories was sitting at my Grandmother's table with a big box of coloring books and my faithful Crayola's, Grandma either doing her daily devotions at the table next to me or standing at the counter cooking. Her house usually smelled like fresh brewed coffee and clean surfaces, and roast beef on Sundays.
Fibromyalgia and the side effects that come with it have made it more difficult to hold a pencil or brush and I have discovered that Digital art programs are a great alternative. Don't ask me why drawing with a Wacom hurts less then with a pencil, cause it really doesn't make sense to me. I try to keep my paintings and Illustrations as close to traditional as possible, including designing some of my own brushes to mimic real oil brushes.
Photomanipulation is something I do between projects as a fun way to play with my every day photographs.
My two Labradorks also do their fair share of work by causing frequent laughter, committing drive by lickings, and of course there is the obligatory 'cute eye beg' for any scrap of food they can con out of you!
