This is already broken. Not good quality at all. Love it, and can no longer wear it.

Good communication from seller. It looks pretty good, but some of the letters look like they were stamped twice and you can see both lines.
Wit + Beauty. Narrative Jewelry.
Alison Wonderland Jewelry makes narrative jewelry with both wit + beauty. Life should have both of those, I think.
*Why So Many Words?*
My jewelry often features words. I am very much a word person. For a very loooooong long time — like almost twenty years — I made my living exclusively as a writer. (I still do write, actually, but only take assignments very selectively these days.)
Over the years, I wrote tens of thousands of words for many different magazines, newspapers and websites, including American Archaeology, Glamour, Inc., Mother Jones, The Toronto Star, The Washington Post, Yoga Journal, among other places.
My specialty was travel writing, and let me tell ya: that didn’t suck. But one can tire of nearly anything, even delicious dumplings in Shanghai, safaris in South Africa and luxury hotels on every continent.
Mostly, I found myself tiring of moving pixels around a screen, and craved something more tactile.
In 2013, I took a sabbatical from travel writing and studied art and craft at The Art Students League, The School of Visual Arts, The National Academy Museum and School, The Fashion Institute of Technology, The Center for Book Arts, The 92nd Street Y, and other places around New York city.
At first, I heavily flirted with other art forms – especially printmaking and bookbinding– but when I first sat down at a jewelry bench I knew I’d found my next creative home.
*About Alison Wonderland Jewelry*
All of my jewelry is about authentic and honest communication. Profane words are not "bad" in my opinion -- they're often the most direct way to express a thought. Also, profanity tends to be funny and I really like funny. (If you're easily offended, you probably aren't my customer.)
This business started with my Fuck This Shit brass key chain.
I know, I know -- these aren't the three most original words in the world, but it was how I was feeling at that moment, and I made it for myself. People started asking me to make them key chains -- in real life and on social media. And so it began.
I like combining words with both traditional jewelry materials -- metal and stone -- and unusual, upcycled materials. I do my best to source sustainable and environmentally friendly raw materials for my jewelry, and aim for the highest quality. My pieces are all made by hand, by me.
I really do love these. Some of my favorite pieces have been custom orders, so please don't be afraid to start a conversation, either here on Etsy or via email: alisonstein [!at] gmail.com

I'm a jewelry designer who started out a writer. (You can read the whole story at my blog, http://verycuriousmind.com) I like combining words with traditional and unusual materials using classic jewelry techniques. If it's funny, I'm even happier.
