Recycle * Redesign * Repurpose

There is such beauty in using "trash" in a new way to create unique pieces of jewelry. Sea glass is just trash, right? But those broken, sea tumbled, sand smoothed pieces can be the inspiration and centerpieces of wearable art. Broken dishes, vintage stamps, rubber bands, beach stones can be repurposed into jewelry that evokes comments and compliments.

I use items some think trash (beach finds, broken plates etc.) to create one-of-a-kind, left brain thinking pieces for the woman who appreciates unique jewelry and likes to be complimented on her accessories. Recycle * Repurpose * Redesign

Welcome to All Washed Up Gems. I hope you like my designs. All my jewelry is made with a creative woman in mind. I primarily use items found on the beach - genuine sea glass, beach stones, driftwood, shells and beach tiles then enhance them with decorative beads and artisan wire. No two pieces are exactly alike. Please return often to my shop as items will be added on a regular basis.

Out of concern for our beaches and the families who enjoy them, I am happy to "trash pick" and create unique and creative jewelry. And glass found on the beach that is unsafe, I either return to the surf or toss in the trash so no one gets cut.

My Chipped China pieces are mostly made from vintage plates, platters etc with chips or cracks and would have become "trash" had they not been recycled and used in jewelry.

Thanks for looking at my designs. My website is while offers more information and a gallery of pieces.

Additional policies and FAQs
Sea Glass is still glass and jewelry containing sea glass should be treated with care. If the darker colors of sea glass become too "frosty" for your taste over time, a teeny dab of baby oil can be wiped on and then off to refresh the color.

All the sea glass I am currently using has been found by me, family members or friends personally on the East Coast of the US, in Europe and the Caribbean. It is genuine sea glass meaning surf and sand tumbled - never machine tumbled. No two pieces are exactly the same in color, tone, shape and condition. We use jewelry grade and some better craft grade glass and small flaws can be expected.
