Announcement   Welcome to Alyce Paul Studio!

My work is comprised of an array of mediums - ceramics (porcelain and stoneware), found objects (shells, rocks, bottle caps, insects), and metals (sterling silver and copper). Inspired both by nature and history, my work comes together as a Cabinet of Curiosities. From framed and dried seaweed specimens to gold-dipped shell earrings my aim is to find nature's beauty and preserve it in form and give it function. My Golden Dinosaur Tillandsia Planters display my whimsical, quirky aesthetics.

My studio & company name, Alyce Paul, was named in honor of my spirited grandmother.

Please message me via Conversations with any questions or requests for custom orders.

This was purchased as a present and it was everything I was expecting and more. The seller was flexible with the delivery dates and very responsive to my questions. The added note and stickers truly helped to brighten up a new office.

Very cute! Air plant and planter were in good condition. (also very funny, the package said "Live dinosaur" stamped on the front)

About

Creating Novelties from Nostalgia

My grandmother on my mom's side, Alyce Paul, lived to be 100 years old. She knitted a washcloth a day to keep her hands busy. If something was broken she would fix it with a rubber band and a paper clip. She is the name & spirit behind my company. Her name also encompasses my entire family, whom has inspired me & taught me how to turn something useless into something useful.

Creativity runs in my blood. My mother is an amazing pastel artist, my grandmother was a painter, my brother a computer animation artist, my dad a chef. I don't know for certain, but I have an inkling that art goes way back to my European ancestors.

I love making things. I've always loved making things. The more I can build something from the ground up, the more I love it. I get a surge of excitement when I learn that something can be made from scratch.

In school I was always a perfectionist & overachiever. I follow suit to my Aries horoscope with a competitive nature & stubborn streak. In 2003 my team won the World Championship for Rope Skipping. I love making beautiful things.
