Hallo! Ich bin Amanda, die Künstlerin hinter jedem einzelnen Stück in diesem Shop. Ich bin Autodidaktin – 2016 begann ich an einer Töpferscheibe in meiner Garage und brachte mir das Töpfern mithilfe von YouTube-Videos und praktischen Experimenten selbst bei. Nach unzähligen Fehlschlägen und einer gehörigen Portion Hartnäckigkeit wurde aus meinem Hobby ein Teil von mir. Ich verliebte mich in den Prozess, und schließlich entwickelte sich daraus ein Studio und ein Shop, dessen Werke Sammler auf der ganzen Welt erreichen.

Töpfern erdet mich ungemein. Der Geruch des Tons, wie er sich in den Händen anfühlt und wie er Gestalt annimmt, wie man ihn sich vorstellt – es ist fast magisch. Die Welt um einen herum verschwindet, und es gibt nur noch einen selbst und den Ton. Demütigend und kraftvoll zugleich.

Manche Künstler bevorzugen es, Sammlungen ähnlicher oder identischer Werke zu schaffen und finden Befriedigung in der Vervielfältigung und Beständigkeit, aber ich nicht. Ich liebe die Kunst an sich, die Einzigartigkeit und all die kleinen Unterschiede. Kein Stück gleicht dem anderen, und das aus gutem Grund. Die Variationen sind kein Fehler, sondern das Herzstück der Kunst selbst – der Fingerabdruck eines von einem Menschen für einen Menschen geschaffenen Werkes.

Mein Verfahren ist einfach: Ich drehe Steinzeug auf der Töpferscheibe ohne Schablonen, sodass kein Stück dem anderen gleicht. Jedes Stück erhält mein Künstlerzeichen, wird nummeriert, von Hand glasiert und bei hohen Temperaturen gebrannt, um eine lange Haltbarkeit zu gewährleisten. Alle verwendeten Glasuren sind zertifiziert ungiftig, bleifrei und lebensmittelecht. Die fertigen Stücke sind spülmaschinen-, mikrowellen- und ofenfest – gemacht für den täglichen Gebrauch und die Freude daran. Für alle Momente des Lebens.

Wenn ich nicht gerade Auto fahre, arbeite ich als Restaurantleiterin in Vollzeit im sonnigen Celebration, Florida. Ich liebe das Meer und hoffe, genug Geld zu sparen, um einen Katamaran zu kaufen und mit meinem Mann die Welt zu umsegeln – jeden Tag tauchen und mich von der Schönheit der Natur inspirieren lassen. Ich liebe Wirtschaft, Schreiben, Zeichnen und Träumen. Ich erschaffe mit Herzblut schöne Dinge. Und das Einzige, was noch schöner ist, als sie mit anderen zu teilen.

Hello! I'm Amanda, the creator behind every piece in this shop. I'm a self-taught potter — I started in 2016 at a wheel set up in my garage, teaching myself with YouTube videos and hands-on experimentation. Through countless failures and a large degree of stubbornness, what began as a hobby became an extension of myself. I fell in love with the process, and eventually, it grew into a studio and a shop that reaches collectors around the world.

Pottery is an incredibly grounding process for me. There's something about the smell of the clay, the way it moves in your hands, and the way it becomes what you see in your mind's eye -- it's almost magical. The world melts away, and it's just you and the clay. Humbling and powerful.

Some artists prefer to create collections of similar or identical pieces and find satisfaction in the multiplication and consistency, but not me. I love the art of it, the uniqueness, and all of the little differences. No two pieces are identical for a reason. The variations are not a flaw, but the heart of art itself — the fingerprint of a thing made by a person, for a person.

My process is simple — stoneware thrown on the wheel without templates, so no two pieces are ever alike. Each one is stamped with my artist's mark, numbered, hand-glazed, and high-fired for lasting durability. All of the commercial glazes I use are certified non-toxic, lead-free, and food-safe. The resulting pieces are dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe, and oven-safe — made to be used and loved every single day. Made for all of life's moments.

When I'm not at the wheel, I'm a full-time restaurant manager in sunny Celebration, Florida. I love the ocean and hope to save enough money to buy a catamaran and sail around the world with my husband -- scuba diving every day and finding inspiration in the beauty of the natural world. I love business, writing, drawing, and dreaming. Creating beautiful things from my heart. The only thing better than creating beautiful things is sharing them with others.
