I love to share my crafts!
I decided last year to start my shop and share my love of crafting. Unfortunately, my first few months were not a success. I didn't have time to devote to my shop or the patience to make it all work. But now that I am about to be unemployed and hopefully not nearly as stressed out, I will be able to devote more time to my crafts and being available.
I love to make all kinds of crafts - scrapbooking, jewelry, crocheting, costuming, general sewing, dolls, felt crafts and more. Recently, I have decided to take the plunge into polymer clay, but as of yet have not had the time. Now, I will. My daughter and I have made several Shrinky Dinks and really enjoy that.
Most of my crafts end up being for my darling little girl. She loves the dolls that I make for her. She has jewelry and clothes that are all mommy creations. Even her friends want things. Her teachers all have gifts that I have made. Especially her second grade teacher who absolutely loves cupcakes!
I make all of our costumes each year, though this year my daughter opted for a purchased one so I didn't have to stress out about getting it done in time. She's so thoughtful.
I hope that everyone stops by my shop and checks out my goodies and maybe, just maybe, falls in love with something.
UPDATE: Wow! I had forgotten all about this! Well, I am happy to report that I have been gainfully employed for the past four years at a job I absolutely love. I have time enough to work on my crafts and even get into a craft fair here and there. Things haven't been easy, though, on a personal front. A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with a small brain tumor. While it doesn't keep me from doing things, I always know that it's there. Medical bills make it hard at times, so I try to sell my wares to at least support that.
My girl is getting ready to finish up her elementary school years and embark on a whole new journey - middle school. Excited? Yeah. Nervous? Probably. She's excited to learn French and participate in yearbook club. I am proud of her.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you find something here that you can't live without.
