Amora Adera began with stories. Founded by a designer of Ethiopian and Scottish heritage, the house grew from the stories she was raised on, and the belief that the symbols inside them deserved to be worn, and kept alive.
Sophia makes and curate jewelry inspired by cultures and traditions from around the world. We started with boho everyday pieces and over the years have leaned into heirloom solid gold. Every design starts with a story. 🖤
Sophia grew up immersed in design: raised by an entrepreneurial mother who worked in fashion before opening our family restaurant, and spent formative years living overseas, from Kenya to New Zealand, with a modeling career that took me through New York and London. That multicultural life shaped how she sees beauty: as something global, ancient, and deeply personal. Eventually it led to the three-dimensional art of jewelry.
This shop reflects both sides of that journey. You'll find globally inspired handcrafted pieces from my journeys traveling and collecting stylish items. Jewelry drawing on traditions and materials from around the world, alongside the heart of the house: our fine jewelry line, translating ancient symbols of the Nile Valley and Sub-Sahara into pieces made to last.
Each of our fine jewelry designs is developed with our jewelry partner in Italy and handcrafted by our master jeweler in Denver, Colorado, set with GIA-certified, responsibly sourced stones in solid 18k gold. A sterling silver collection of our signature symbols is arriving soon.
