I am an aspiring artist and photographer who dreams of someday making this my full-time job. I have longed to apply my creativity on a more professional level for as long as I can remember, but have feared to take the leap and go for the dream.

Over the past couple of years I have taken serious steps to downsize and simplify my life ultimately moving into a 1970 Airstream Sovereign full-time. This journey has given me greater courage to step out on limb in other areas of life and take control of how I live. My shop here is just one more step toward doing that-perhaps this also explains my choice of shop name: Am's Tin Can Studio. So much of what I see around me inspires me. Nature, architecture, my Airstream home...all of it inspires me. I love attempting to capture the details in the scenes around me whether with my camera, my pencil or my paintbrush. I hope the images I create or capture inspire others as well and convey a sense of the wonder I feel whenever I observe the objects portrayed.

I would also like to thank all of the wonderful artists and craftspeople who contribute their stories via the Etsy community and their own personal blogs, websites, etc. Your stories have also served as inspiration to me in making many of the changes I have made over the past couple of years.
