Dancing Stones Studio - Expressing Love in Many Forms
When I was very young child, my family and I lived in a big red brick house in the Pennsylvania countryside. Our backyard connected to a beautiful sun speckled forest path that led to an incredible blueberry field. I was only three or four at the time but the memory of holding my Mom's hand as we walked the tree lined path is vivid in my mind. During our outings in the woods we always came across a distinct formation of very large flat stones. The rule was that we could not go past them without climbing on top of one and doing a dance. It certainly seemed to make sense to my brother and I !
So, in he last few years I have found that I am often creating work that resembles rock formations or stones of some sort. Honestly, I don't know if this is where it came from, but, one day I hung one of my finished paintings on the wall and noticed what looks like a tiny little dancer on one of the round forms. So, in honor of my dancing little girl spirit , the name Dancing Stones emerged for both the series of work and the studio.
My work is very expressive and I generally do not plan what I am going to paint when it comes to abstract work. I love playing with texture and creating the illusion of something old or deteriorating. I have several years of experience working as a decorative and specialty painter, where I have experimented with texture quite a bit. I also love to paint free form amorphous shapes. My amazing husband ( he is also a one man band known as The Limbs - check him out! ) and I have integrated our talents in a series of animal nursery paintings and also paint commissioned murals together. My main interest and inspiration right now is being a stay at home Mom with my son and being able to make a career out of my art. It is important to me to demonstrate to him that you really can do what you love and be with who you love simultaneously.

Shipping
Most works I ship USPS with delivery confirmation. For larger paintings, I generally choose FedEx.
Shipping depends on a variety of factors including size of canvas, weight and destination. Large paintings are expensive to ship, so I usually absorb about half the shipping cost to keep it reasonable for the buyer.
Shipping costs in my shop are for the 48 CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES ONLY.
HAWAII, ALASKA AND PUERTO RICO - Please contact me before purchasing, as the costs are different to those locations.
If a listing in my shop indicates shipping to Canada- all tariffs, duties, fees, shipping costs and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
For shipping to any other place besides the United States- please contact me for a shipping price. I will change the listing just for you, so you can then purchase the item with the proper agreed upon shipping charges.
