Welcome to The Snow Flake Shop!

The Snow Flake Shop stems from a blog created to share the crochet diaries and designs of a simple housewife from Arizona. I'm inspired by movies, charities, and anything else that catches the eye, and each of my personal designs (Designs By A Snow Flake) has a story to tell.

The theme of "A Snow Flake" actually has nothing to do with the physical snow that falls in winter. It is a play on words of the my name and--since we're being honest here--a nod to the endearing klutziness, silliness, and foot-in-mouth moments that occasionally occur on a daily basis ;-)


Allergy Information
While I make every attempt to keep allergens out of the yarn and other products (pet dander/hair, perfumes, dust, etc.), it is always possible that a small contamination may occur. If you have a severe allergy to any other these, please send me a message before making a purchase, and I will happily work with you to determine if the steps taken for a particular product(s) are sufficient for your comfort and safety.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
I do not accept returns or exchanges except for the following circumstances: your purchase is lost in the mail; the package and its contents are delivered to you damaged; the product you purchased is not in the size or color that you ordered.

If your situation applies to one of the above examples, you have 30 days from the date marked on your invoice to contact and notify me of the situation.

I do not offer store credit instead of cash refunds.

Opened items will be accepted for returns only if they are damaged or found to be the wrong size. If the product is merely the wrong color, it must be returned unopened (unless product packaging has prevented a clear view).

For exchanges, the new item will be shipped out after the item being exchanged is returned to "The Shop".

Shipping costs for refunds and exchanges will be covered by "The Shop" if they apply to the accepted circumstances listed above.

Refunds: if you paid with your bank account (e-Check or Instant Transfer) or your PayPal account, the refund will be credited back to your account. If you paid with your credit card, the money will refund back to your card (please note that it can take up to 30 days for the refund to appear on your statement).
Payment
Payments are only accepted via PayPal. PayPal accepts multiple forms of payment, and you do not need to sign up for an account to use it.
Shipping
Products generally ship within the next 1-2 business days (unless otherwise noted) after your payment has cleared. Business days are Monday-Friday, not including holidays. All items will be packaged securely and shipped via USPS First-Class or Priority. Please send me a message with your order if you would like to request a different shipping method (you will be responsible for any additional charges).

Product(s) will ship to the address on your invoice. If you would like to ship to a different address, send a message with your order containing the appropriate information.

If you are purchasing a gift and sending it directly to the receiver, please send a message with your order (along with any special messages for the gift recipients) and I will gladly replace the printed invoice with a gift receipt .

Please understand that shipping fees also include handling fees. The fees cover the cost of postage as well as packaging materials.

International customers are responsible for any customs fees, import duty charges, or taxes incurred on your order.

Please note that colors vary slightly due to monitor settings, so your item may look slightly different in color than in the photographs.

Custom Orders and Commissions

For custom orders* there is a $2 - $8 commission fee in addition to the listed price of the item. Custom orders are taken on a first come, first served basis. Custom orders may take one to three weeks to complete, depending on the status of supply shipments, level of difficulty, and the time it takes to create. An estimate of completion time will be quoted to the customer. The designer will always do her best to create the customer's piece in a speedy and timely manner, but patience is appreciated. Periodic emails will be sent to the customer containing updates on the custom product.
*Custom orders are requests for one of the following: change of color/yarn type/material that is not offered in the product listing; addition of embellishments or additional embellishments to the product; requests for a product that is no longer listed and discontinued; special stitching or a change of stitch style (may or may not be possible, depending on the product); etc.

For commissions** there is a $10 - $15 commission fee in addition to the quoted price of the item. Commissions are taken on a first come, first served basis. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to me! Your personal information will NEVER be shared or sold!

Information I collect: Your name, a valid email address, and shipping address. Your payment information (credit card number, etc.) is directed through PayPal--I will never see your financial information. PayPal only allows me to view the billing address for your credit card (View PayPal's Privacy Policy)

Why I collect this information: Your name, valid email address, and shipping address are required for shipment of your purchase(s) and payment. Contact information is also required for inquiries and comments.

Third parties: As stated above, I will not share your information with anyone. Your name and shipping address will be used for shipment. See PayPal's privacy concerning third parties.
