I am a lover of art!

Anything that comes out of my shop was made by my two hands. I put a lot of care, passion and thought into all I put together. I do what I do not only because I love to create but also to fulfill my other passion as a stay home mother. I have two young boys and this allows me to be home with them and share the joy of making art with them.

I have been creating every since I can remember. Its a huge part of who I am. I love to draw and then often I take my drawings further to create something more with them. When I take my drawings to the next level of creation its often either a piece of wall art or jewelry. My passion is working with my hands. Getting my fingers dirty and in the end coming up with something that pleases the eye!

When I was a kid I used to make little figurines for my family out of clay. I would draw pictures and give them as gifts. I played in photography at a young age and enjoyed hanging out in dark rooms till I created something cool. I collected bottles, rocks, shells, and anything my mother would allow me to collect. I now have a child who enjoys collecting and creating and its just amazing to watch him enjoy the same things I did as a kids and for the most part still do till this day.

After high school I went to college at the Art Institute of Dallas and earned an Associates in Graphic Design. I worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for multiple publishing companies. After doing graphic work for about 8 years and having kids I needed a change. I then went into making jewelry and started selling it to stores. A rep then picked up my works and started selling for me. This was all great but got to be a lot of work growing into juggling 3 sells reps and motherhood. I had to fulfill large orders at wholesale prices and work long hours to do so. The process began to loose the art that I first began doing by creating custom jewelry. I've rediscovered Etsy and am super excited to produce work on an artisan level again and become apart of a community of other creators like myself. Expect to see unique one of a kinds and a few of my past favorites on my Amy's Art Wear store.
