On Etsy since 2017

Tenugui is a traditional Japanese hand towel designed for multi-use. They can be used as tea towels, placemats, bandanas, home decoration... even as a lovely way to wrap gifts!

Anbo has been producing these tenugui using traditional Japanese dyeing techniques since 1907. They are made from the finest Japanese cotton called chita cotton, produced in Chita city, Aichi prefecture. They are dyed with natural indigo using dyeing techniques perfected over centuries.

If you're interested in a custom order, please message us and let us know!

Our US showroom is located in heart of Manhattan, New York. You can see Tenugui in person at our showroom, by appointment only.
