Love of creating useful beautiful pottery

Since learning the pottery wheel I have been obsessed with perfecting my craft and discovering new glaze colors and combinations to express the painter that I truly am. Unlike painting on canvas, clay provides a medium that I don't get overly attached too. When a piece goes into my kiln so many things can go awry, I've learned not to get my hopes up too high. But when a piece comes out even better than I had hoped it's like magic. All of my dinnerware is made with food safe glazes. I paint each layer onto each piece by hand.

I love to design dinnerware that is both functional and unique. Each place setting is a work of art in itself, no two are exactly alike.

Etsy has been a wonderful venue for me to connect with buyers all over the USA. It is a great pleasure to know my work is being used all over our beautiful country.

Dinnerware Care and Use
All of my dinnerware is created using food safe, lead free glazes. Stoneware is heavier and thicker than fine china and is meant to be loved and used daily. It may be put in the microwave and dishwasher. However, ceramic pottery is fragile and will break or crack from shocks due to dropping, sudden impact or thermal shock. Use care when placing in dishwasher so that pieces will remain secure and not knock against each other during use. Avoid sudden changes in temperature, example: do not put a cold plate into a hot oven etc. With proper care your dinnerware should last for many years. Due to the fragile nature of ceramics, Andover Pottery has no warranty against damage after safe delivery.

I am happy to consider custom orders or special requests.

Wedding Registries are welcomed, I am happy to work together to create the dinnerware set of your dreams. The recipients agree to purchase all of the remaining pieces within 2 months after the wedding date.

When complete, all custom orders will be reserved and available for purchase for 10 business days. If the custom work is not purchased after that time it will no longer be reserved and may no longer be available.
