Love this knitted poncho. Knitted quality work. Great layering with sweaters and jackets.

Perfect. Warm without being too bulky. It fits really well and is comfortable. Perfect to wear around my chilly studio when I'm working. It's beautifully knitted and finished and the buttons and holes function well.

My Story

Needle crafts have been in my family for at least three generations. My grandmother was a crochet, as is my aunt. My mother knits, and I first picked up knitting needles thanks to her at a young age. Everything was just straight knit stitch, but I loved it! I returned to knitting in high school when I joined the knitting club. After graduating from college, and realizing that there was this thing called "free time," I taught myself to crochet and was hooked (no pun intended). I enjoyed making gifts for people, and it was a great hobby to have through graduate school to help destress. I accumulated a pile of goods, but there weren't enough people to give them to, and so my Etsy shop was born. As I continued through grad school and now as a working professor, I find crocheting is a great way to relax after a long day. I still make gifts whenever possible and I love making new items for my Etsy shop.

Crocheting always reminds me of my childhood, particularly of the handmade items from my family, all of which made me feel cozy and comfortable. That feeling of coziness stuck with me, because, as many of you know, sitting in an office all day is anything but cozy. I have a collection of shawls and ponchos, some made by me and some by others, and these items make work days just a bit more cozy and comfortable. That is a feeling I want to share with people as we all move through life, sometimes forgetting that our comfort matters.

My shop's name is also a marker of childhood. My oldest and best friend called me Andra growing up. Now, I make things for her children, so it seemed fitting to name the shop after what reminds me of why I crochet in the first place.
