Seamstress and designer bringing a passion for vintage fashion to the modern day.

Hi! I'm Andrea and I'm a clothing designer and lover of vintage clothing. I love creating clothing inspired by 1950s pinup fashion. I've been sewing for more than a decade, and I have a certificate of Fashion Design. I've always loved fun prints and vintage clothing styles, and I created my shop to share that love with the world. I'm passionate about creating beautiful pieces that make the wearer feel powerful and confident while maintaining a retro and pinup style. Each piece of clothing in my shop is lovingly patterned, cut, and stitched by me from my home, to yours.

Frequently asked questions
Sizing details

Each individual item has sizing details listed in the description. For advice on sizing, such as how to measure, or where to measure, please send us a message and we can advise you! Andrea Makes Things is not responsible if a buyer provides inaccurate measurements.

Care instructions

Clothing from Andrea Makes Things should be washed cold and hung to dry. If there is an exception, it will be noted in the item's description.

Your skirts look the same, why do the prices vary so much?

Pricing for individual skirts depends on time taken to create the pattern as well as the cost of fabric and availability!

Do you really make everything by hand?

Yes! I create the patterns for all of my designs, grade them (an industry term for creating different sizes from one pattern!), cut out the fabric, and then sew it all myself. Then I photograph and model it! This can explain the higher cost than items - this is not fast fashion, but slow and sustainable fashion.
