Even the lining is nice ! Thanks for the thoughtful way you wrapped and packaged my items for shipment and for the enclosed note. You even refunded the excess shipping charges . Guess it can't get any better than this! Best wishes to you in your Etsy endeavors !

Thank you Andrea, Your professionalism and the quality of your work far exceeds your price point. I'll definitely be ordering again!
This all began as a hobby...
I (Andrea) have been knitting since I was 13 when my maternal grandmother taught me one summer because she believed that "every young lady should have a creative skill that is useful." My Nana helped to nurture my love of knitting and develop my craft. The first words out of her mouth whenever I would call would often be "what are you knitting now?" When she passed away in March of 2013, I tucked the first pair of knitting needles that she ever gave me, tied in a pink ribbon (her favourite colour), into the coffin with her. It was my way of honouring her for teaching me something that I love and hope to teach my kids and grandkids one day.
I came to discover that my constant knitting really helped me to deal with my ADHD, as I am not sit still for long without fidgeting and distracting those around me! Wherever I go, I will often have a bag of yarn, needles and a never ending list of ideas and things that I want to make! My family (biological and in-law) have accepted this as part of who I am! I am lucky to have grown up in a very crafty household where my mother was always trying out some new crafting technique and my mother-in-law is a knitter herself, so it is great to have that resource!
I love being able to sell my knitted wares on Etsy as I have found a community full of crafty people who share my passion and meticulousness for making something beautiful. Etsy is the first place that I will go to for presents and I love knowing that the items that I make are being given to someone with love.
My husband, Colin, has been incredibly understanding and will often take on more than his share of the household chores so that I can finish "just one more row", especially when the orders comes in faster than anticipated. He may not know how to knit, but he does handle the day-to-day and ensure that my only focus when there are lots of orders is how fast my needles are flying!
Thanks to the encouragement and help from family and friends, we finally opened our "doors" on November 1, 2011.

I have been knitting since I was 13 (going on 23 years now!), when my maternal grandmother taught me one summer. I find that it really helps with my ADHD, especially on long trips! I find knitting to be a wonderfully creative way to express myself.

Frequently asked questions
Gift wrapping and packaging
We offer FREE gift wrapping for all items purchased! Please let us know of any specific colour(s) or theme that you are looking for and we will do our best to accommodate. We will also tuck in a blank card or tag for you with the gift!
I don't want to wait for my order - so can you refund me?
I will not refund an order that has been placed and is waiting to be made. If you cannot wait for the order, please do not order the item. We suggest that you send us a conversation if you are working against a tight deadline, keeping in mind that I have zero control over Canada Post's shipping times and the time your item takes to clear customs.
Can I buy in bulk?
Five or more items in an order (they do not have to be the same item) receive a 20% discount. Please send us a conversation to set up a custom listing.
I like what you are selling, but I want something different from what is shown. Is that possible?
Custom orders are ALWAYS accepted! Please send us a conversation to chat about what you had in mind and if your project is possible! There are a multitude of other projects and designs that are not pictured.
Why are the production times so different for each of your products?
Time to complete your item will vary depending on the size and complexity of your project, as well as its place in the queue with other orders. Please send us a conversation for an approximate timeline, especially if you are working under a tight deadline.
When will you start on my order?
We knit all items in the order in which they are purchased. Within 12 hours of purchasing an item, you will receive a conversation outlining your exact place in the queue and an approximate time as to when we hope to start your order, as well as, any clarifying questions that will speed up the production of your order. This will be followed up with a conversation when we start on the order before yours, as well as, another conversation when we start on your order, just in case you want to make any changes, but also to be completely transparent with you.
I need my order quicker - can I go to the front of the line?
As noted above, all items are knit in the order in which they are purchased. If you do need an item by a specific date - please put that clearly in the "Notes to Seller" and we will try our best to accommodate you. Please keep in mind that shipping times are not factored into our production times. We also do not believe that it is fair to the other customers that have purchased their items to suit their timeline, which is why we do not have a "rush order fee" available for purchase.
How much money do you actually donate to charity?
We strongly believe in giving back, especially to those less fortunate or those who are unfortunately afflicted with illness. With that in mind, a portion of all profits (10-50% depending on cost of yarn) of each item are donated to the causes outlined in each listing. So far, we have raised over $1500 for various causes since November 2011!
I live locally. Can I pick up my order to avoid the cost of shipping?
For those who live in the GTA area and are interested in picking up their order in the Yonge & Finch/Sheppard area or downtown in the Richmond/York area - use the coupon code "HANDDELIVER" to negate the cost of shipping.
Basic care instructions for each of your knitted item(s) are included with every item. These are based on the manufacturer's recommendations for each type of yarn used.
Please keep in mind that we are not responsible for any damage caused by the upkeep of your custom knitted item.
Please contact us if you have any questions.
