Exactly what I wanted -- love them. Good communication from seller (even though she has a newborn at home and is undoubtedly exhausted). A+ company!

I've been wearing this almost every day since I got it. It might take you a minute to figure out how to make it work for your hair, but now that I have the trick, I can put my hair up using nothing but the square pin. It's beautiful, and feels like jewelry. Thanks!

    Love, love, love!
Never had such a firm hair pin to aggressively gather up lots of hair. Amazing quality, doesn't bend, arrived fast, use it almost daily, and feels like I'm classing up my quarantine leisure look. Thanks!

I love!!! my hairpin! It’s going to take a bit to get used to using, but it looks so cute and more professional than a ponytail. Thanks so much!

Love this pin! Took some time getting used to how to use it, but I like it a lot. You may want to get more than one because the sizing is a little tough to figure out.

Handmade pieces made to wear everyday.

Anethum is a female-owned and operated business started in 2014 that aims to create quality, pieces that you’ll want to wear everyday. With products ranging from minimal gold and sterling silver jewelry, hair pins, brass home goods, boob shaped jewelry, and flower brooches, all of Anethum styles are handcrafted in Philadelphia by owner and designer Whitney Rumble. Each piece of jewelry is made with care and given special attention to detail while embracing the “imperfections” of the hand at work. With the launch of the boob shaped line, Melopepo, in 2016 our mission shifted to also provide goods that give back and lead to meaningful conversations that will bring us closer together as a community.

BIO:
Whitney was born and raised in Colorado, after moving to Philadelphia in 2005 she feel in love with the city and decided to make it her new home. She graduated from Tyler School of Art with a BFA in Printmaking and entered the work force getting a typical 9-5 job. She still longed to create and work with her hands so she signed up for a Jewelry making class at Moore College and that’s were her love of working with metal began. What started with making pieces for herself slowly grew to friends asking for pieces then into an actual business. Anethum is based out of her home in Fishtown that she shares with her husband, dog and cat. Anethum comes from the latin word for the Dill plant, a tribute to her dog Dill.

Additional policies and FAQs
Raw brass will oxidize naturally but can be brought back up to a high shine with a gentle rub of lemon and water, then rinse and dry with soft cloth. Polishing with a super soft/high grit nail buffer or micro mesh will also work as well as a traditional jewelry polishing cloth. I like Birks made in London and Cape Cod brands.

General Jewelry Care:

Protect all jewelry from scratches, sharp blows, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and sunlight. After each wearing, gently wipe each piece of jewelry clean of make up and skin oils with a 100% cotton cloth. Store jewelry separately so it doesn't scratch other jewelry. Remove jewelry when doing household or handyman tasks such a gardening, cleaning and household repairs or other strenuous activities. Apply makeup and hairspray before putting on your jewelry. Makeup and hairspray contain chemicals that may affect your jewelry. Do not wear jewelry while in a swimming pool or hot tub or bathing. The chlorine in the water can damage various gemstones and metals including gold. Do not store jewelry next to heating vent, window sill, or in the car. Store jewelry away from sunlight.
