I accept PayPal, money orders and personal checks in U.S. funds.

Please allow extra time for shipping when paying by check or money order while I wait for both to clear the bank. Unfortunately and because of high incidence of money order fraud, I will also need to hold money orders until they clear.

Layaway: I will be happy set up a layaway plan. Please contact me first, and I will put the item on Reserve for you and set up a payment plan with you through PayPal. You will have 5 days to make an initial **non-refundable** downpayment of 25% of total purchase price to hold the reserve item. Shipping charges will be included in the last payment. The balance is due within 90 days. You can choose to have payments split into 2, 3 or 4 payments. The item must be paid in full within 90 days of initial transaction. If it is not and no further arrangements have been agreed upon, I reserve the right to remove the reserve and sell the item.
I usually ship within 1-3 days after receipt of Credit Card/PayPal payment or checks/money orders clearing the bank.

Most U.S. shipments which weigh less than 13oz. will be shipped United States Postal Service (USPS) 1st class package. Delivery time is about the same as Priority Mail, but it is a less expensive shipping option.

If you would like a different shipping option (via USPS), please let me know. For instance, signature confirmation added. You know the safety of a package being left on your doorstep better than I do - or - you would like overnight delivery. I like to put a smile on your face if I can.

All PayPal orders will be shipped according to PayPal rules. Orders above $250 will need to have signature - delivery confirmation added. A physical address where someone will be available to sign will be needed. Tracking is also required. While I intend to have tracking on all shipments, shipments outside the U.S. via USPS have tracking available on Priority Mail shipping and/or Flat Rate Medium Box or larger. Sorry, but I will not be able to ship outside the U.S. via First Class Mail International for this reason.

Shipments outside U.S.:
See paragraph above on "All PayPal orders ..."
Shipping quotes do not cover any customs or duty fees charged by various governments or their agencies. Please plan for this as an additional expense.
Custom's forms will be marked as "Merchandise" or "Used Merchandise". While I am not unsympathetic to the additional charge and hardship, I cannot break the law. No exceptions.
Refunds and Exchanges
Returns are not fun for you or for me. We are both out valuable time, money and feeling disappointed. So, please take note of below and "Additional Policies & FAQ" section - particularly information on sizing, colors and vintage vs. new. Care taken early helps keep this fun which is what vintage should be -- FUN!

I do accept returns on all items, and hope to always be able to. In return, I ask that you pay particular to attention to a few things - see "Additional Information" below.

If item description says "As-Is" - no return.

It is rare, but, occasionally, an item is damaged in shipping. If it is insured and arrives damaged, please co-operate with me in the claims process with the USPS. They will want you to take the package and contents to the Post Office and not send back to me. They will also keep it.

All others:
1. Email me within 3 days of receipt of your order
2. Wait for my return email with instructions. I will get back to you as quickly as is possible.
3. Send back via any carrier you choose.
4. Refund of purchase price will be issued after I receive the item in the same condition as was sent, complete with any tags attached to it.
Additional policies and FAQs
Used, vintage items - By their very nature, are not "perfect" and look like brand new, direct from the department store. If you are new to vintage, please do not expect this. In return, you will receive one-of-a-kind, unique items. Over time, colors change and mellow (particularly on fabrics), yellowing can occur (particularly on paper items). Wear just comes with the territory. Age can even add fragility to items. Many people like all of this and feel these things add to the charm and appeal. These "imperfections" also prove that these items are authentic, vintage or antique and not reproductions.

Condition - I will always let you know of any condition issues I see in the description and often with photos - except as mentioned above. I try hard not to do this, but, if I miss something, let me know.

Sizing - ALWAYS measure!!! Shrinkage or alterations may have occurred sometime in the past 10, 20, 40 and even 50 years of the life of the garment. Different eras have different sizing - 1970's size 10 is different from earlier size 10 which is different from today's size 10. Even if I mention the tag size or you see it in a picture, use this number as a GUIDE ONLY. Still measure and go by the measurements in the description. Tip: some people measure a garment they own and fits well to help them with sizing.

Colors - Not all computer monitors display colors the same or are set the same. Fabric dye lots can be different - if you are trying to match a certain color (blue for instance), it is best to do this in person. For those who are new to vintage, age can add a "mellowing" to colors.

Cleaning - I subscribe to less is more when dealing with vintage fabrics and fibers. This is something I do for my own fine washables. Even my friends think it's crazy, but I swear it works. It's amazing what a good airing outside in a covered area will do for a garment. Here in the Pacific NW, we often have stormy, rainy weather. The stormier it is, the sweeter garments will smell. Items which have spots, a dust coating gathered on the shoulders, or can easily be laundered, receive a gentle, appropriate spot removal and laundering. Usually done by hand.
Rarely will dry cleaning be done. If it is, it will be noted in the description. Shrinkage to garments and damage (especially to embellishments) can happen. Not only can there be risk to vintage fabrics, there is no way to know if a garment will be cleaned at the beginning of a new batch of chemicals or at the end. I will and do sell clean smelling and looking garments, but will leave the dry cleaning option to buyers.
