Just got the dress in the mail today, it is absolutely adorable! The quality is wonderful and all of it sewn perfectly. I bought it for my daughters 2nd birthday dress, to wear to her party. I am so excited, and can't wait. I'll be taking pictures of her in it soon and send you some. Thank you so much, I will definitely be keeping an eye on your shop to see what else she just can't live without! :) ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!

Designs to bring joy into your home. Lets watch our children play.

While I sit here to write this my mind is full of many things. There are the kids that have just been put to bed. And that list of things I need to tackle. Peaches to jam, beans to freeze, and that garden that needs to be cleaned up a bit more. It is longer still and really never has an end. Then behind all of the thoughts on laundry and every day house care there are the thoughts on what I would like to sew next.

My stacks of fabric that are packed tightly in the small space I call my “sewing corner” though it is more like a few shelves and a tiny table, my cutting table the freezer next to the basement fridge. But I am thankful that I even have that. Some shop owners use their kitchens still, I am in a good place. These things sit patiently waiting for their turn in my schedule.

I am itching to be done this part of my day so I can head back to my sewing. Chances are while on my way there I will come across some unwashed dishes and remember that I am not yet freed up to set needle to thread. I’ll get there eventually and when I do my heart will settle back into the rhythm of my sewing machines whirring.

In the mean time every day is new and for this I am thankful. I enjoy the everyday things. I never know what the next day holds and there is fun in that. My life here is simple and quiet with two girls to care for. This is home, this is peace.

Hello, I love bringing new life into old things. Whether it be an old pattern that has not seen a seamstress in years or fabric that needs to enjoy a new state of being. The fashions of old are what inspire me to create.

Welcome to my little shop right here on the world wide web. I have always had a special spot in my heart for the things of old. Often collecting little nick nacks and vintage items just because I do not want to see them unloved. I hope to be selling true vintage items and also sewing new items from vintage patterns. Both are a passion of mine and I would love to share them with you.

Additional policies and FAQs
1: Can this be made in a larger size?
No, I am sorry to say that I have a small supply of patterns and am not knowledgable in drafting larger sizes at this time. I hope to learn one day but at this time am busy with my two little girls and take every open minute to work on what I am able to do.
Building well made items is my goal.

2: Can more than one of the items be made?
I can make more of the same size item but no two will be alike in fabric and trimmings. My supplies in both fabric and notions are purchased from second hand stores. Often I am buying the scraps from others fabric collections. When I do get my hands on new fabric it is usually end of the bolt sales.

I have little space for storing my supplies and I go for variety over quantity. I work on one outfit at a time and take great pleasure in putting the special touches on each one. All the items I put together are one of a kind. Each one it's own piece of art.

Thank you for looking around and feel free to ask any questions. I hope this helps explain things a bit.
