And in 2015 a Major Mitchell cockatoo figurine that I sold a few years earlier for $350 sold at auction for $1027. I have only been creating ceramic works for 11 years and I'm pleased to see savvy investors/ collectors already making a return on their investment .

About

Self taught artist who loves playing with clay

Everything I've learnt is from books and the internet. I have always been interested in arts and crafts and growing up my room was always declared a disaster area, filled with art and craft projects, both finished and half finished, I particularly love drawing, painting and sculpting and used to sculpt in air dry clay as a child. I discovered porcelain clay in 2005 and have been creating porcelain creatures since then. I'm not sure how long I will continue to create my ceramic pieces (this is the longest I've spent with one medium) but it's been quite an enjoyable pastime. I love to create art that makes people smile, and I'm always happy to hear ideas for new pieces

I create one of a kind porcelain creatures, my creatures are whimsical rather than anatomical and I'm often told they are very tactile. Nothing pleases me more than to see people look at my art and smile :)
