Announcement   Thanks for visiting! I am Annette Higbee. I grew up in a home that taught me to cherish art and creativity. My sewing journey started at the age of 10 when I was given an old singer sewing machine for christmas. Ever since then I have been designing and creating apparel for you name it! My favorite people to design for are kids.

Anna Bouche is my designer name. It came about when I was designing children's clothing for an upscale children's store in Boston. I wanted a name that sounded exhotic, a bit foreign and delicate and would hang well on the rack with many competitors . Over the years we have been featured in Boston magazine, Kids magazine and sold in stores such as Nordstrom's, HLRockinghorse, and Zulily, (Just to name a few)

My experience with children's apparel has definitely been hands on. I have personally sewn thousands of dresses! So if you wonder why I can ship so fast, it's because I am fast and picky and precise. I create dresses that are durable and can be worn over and over again and saved for generations!

I don't have a big Gerber cutter or a warehouse. All I have are my hands, a couple of great sewing machines and lots of creativity and hard work. Once in a while you might see a gown on a baby but those are all satisfied customers children. I love getting these pictures and always ask permission to use them.

We have the ability to change and enhance any of our styles upon request. We can change a sleeve, fabric, length, etc. Just ask. I love responding to your questions and concerns!

In the early 90's I worked with over 20 contract seamstresses working from home. We prided ourselves with hand smocked and one of a kind items that could only be found at Anna Bouché. I learned to draft my own patterns from watching the best. When I am slammed with orders I still have several highly qualified seamstresses who help me out. We all work from home.

My family has been the biggest benefactor of my skills. As a stay at home Mom I've always had a shop in the basement or a room in our home where the kids were always welcome and of course became some of my most adorable models.

I love to design and create and would love the chance to do it especially for you! Babies come in all sizes and shapes. This is why I ask for a chest measurement (under arms all the way around) weight and age of your baby when you place an order.

Thanks again for stopping by!

About

I love to sew for children!

Anna Bouché is my designer name. It was created back in 1986 when I designed and manufactured a line of children's clothing for an upscale store in the Boston US area who wanted their own label. I loved attending the International Children's Show and seeing all the wonderful designs from around the world. It was then I made the decision to mainly sew for children. I have nine of my own beautiful children and am proud to say they were my first models. From the Boston store I went on to doing many boutiques and even had a store of my own. I have found that my audience is the internet and love getting orders from clients all over the world.

I was born to sew! I have spend over 30 years building my skills and abilities to become literally one of the fastest, most precise seamstresses in the world! That's why you get your order in such a short time!

All items shipped priority mail in the U.S. International orders are shipped USPS first class unless upgraded to Priority. I usually cut and sew the item within 3-5 business days of receiving an order. This is of course dependent upon my order load. If you need it faster please message me. Most US orders are received within a week of ordering. International shipping take 2-3 weeks. Of course we have heavy order times and it helps to know when you need your order so that we can ship accordingly.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please provide a chest measurement (under arms all the way around) weight and age for a best fit. If your little one is walking I will also need a shoulder to ankle measurement.

If you order a bonnet please measure from the bottom of one ear over the top of the head to the bottom of the other ear.

Our sizes sizes are larger and truer to age than most sizing. If you choose not to send measurements please choose the size that coordinates with the age your little one will be at their event.
We realize that babies come in all sizes and shapes. Measurements are the best way to get a good fit.

The listing will tell you whether or not the item is lined or if a slip or lining is necessary.

Be aware that different lighting can change the color of whites. All our gowns are designed, cut and sewn under bright LED lighting. Bright sunlight can especially change the color of white.

Your gown will most likely need to be ironed when it arrives. Please don't be disapointed that it is wrinkled. There is no way to ship without some wrinkling. Just use a little steam with a medium heat iron, beling careful with any lace and your gown will look perfect.

My preferred way to launder my gowns is to hand wash, hang dry except where it indicates dry clean only. The care tag is under the brand label in the back.
