About

I LOVE old stuff!

I learned to love antiques and collectibles when my English grandmother told me stories of growing up and living in Victorian and Edwardian England and gave me her teapot and teacups when I was 16. I grew up in an English household complete with tea, eggies and soldiers, treacle tart and Sunday roast dinners.

My first job was in an Egyptian antiquities shop followed by degrees in physical anthropology, and archaeological digs. While I was teaching, I began to buy and sell and opened my first official business in 1985, Regeneration which spun out of our jewelry shop Ring And Wheel in Northern California primarily for my husband's hand made gold and silver gemstone fine jewelry.

I am married to my best friend who was an Englishman imported to the US from England to work at a manufacturing jeweler in San Francisco...because they could find no US Diamond setter with his credentials and experience. He had been in the jewelry business since 15 when he began a 6 year apprenticeship as a Diamond setter and jeweler. He finally retired in 2000 after 40 years because his setting arm basically fell apart. He has consequently been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, which they think is due to the many chemicals, acids and compounds necessary to the job of Diamond setting and being a jeweler.

My antique business has had a few reincarnations with moves, but we closed our actual bricks and mortar antique shop in 2002 to go exclusively online. I came to Etsy a few years ago to diversify my other websites and LOVE the venue, it's other dealers and wonderful customers. I have never lost my passion for vintage, antique, Victoriana and all the wonderful items with a history and a past. My motto is from William Morris....“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful” William Morris, 1834-1896

Refunds and Exchanges
OUR RETURN POLICY: We're certain you'll be happy with your merchandise. We take extra care to fully describe our items, including any flaws. If you have any questions about the item(s) you are ordering, please use our question form to ask us about the item before placing your order.

Please remember…We sell antique and vintage items (20-100+ years old) and want our customers happy with their purchase. If you are new to collecting please view all photos and read the description...... understand that certain items will show their age with time. We take multiple photos for this reason and many times draw arrows pointing to flaws if and when we see them and note anything we see in the item description.
If that rare occasion arises where you feel you must return an item, please contact us for return instructions within three (3) days (by phone or email) immediately - based on your tracking information, so we may work out a resolution with you promptly and address your concerns. Upon our receipt and inspection of the returned item(s), we will issue a refund for your item(s) if returned in the same condition as it was when it was sent to you…EXCLUDING any shipping/insurance costs for which you were responsible. Buyer is responsible for return shipping/insurance costs, which will not be reimbursed for any reason. Returned merchandise must be received by us within seven (7) days of the date from which you contact us regarding the return. Once item is returned and inspected (ie; same item, in original condition, no missing parts etc) you will be refunded within 5 business days. There is a 15% restocking fee on all returned merchandise unless returned for an error or oversight on our part.

In 16+ years of on-line sales we have only had a handful of returns out of over 5,000+ transactions. We want this to be a fun and enjoyable experience, and we want to earn your business as a repeat customer.
Additional policies and FAQs
All our items are vintage and at least 20 years old. Items are sold 'as-is'.

Real colors may slightly differ from their appearance on your computer screen, so ask if clarification is needed.

Please read the description and review all photos to assess an item's condition. We make every effort to describe our products accurately, and include any known flaws we see…and we are picky! Please keep in mind the items we sell were previously owned so imperfections should be expected.

If you're unsure about something, please ask questions before placing an order. We're always happy to answer any questions in order to help you make an informed buying decision and pleasant buying experience.
