Fun & functional leash and collar holders for your canine companion!

Creative minds are rarely tidy...

Artistic & easily distracted I love vintage, rustic, old, antique, quirky, whimsical, eclectic things. I dabble in the arts and consider myself a recreational crafter.

All of my items are crafted in my studio (aka the back porch) under the close supervision of Miss Ella, the resident doggie diva, and Captain Naughty Pants, shop dog extraordinaire. This one human, multi-dog shop creates each and every item in the delightful city of Minneapolis, MN.

Happy Shopping!

I ship USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation to the {PayPal confirmed shipping address ONLY}.

I like to keep it green so I may use recycled materials from time to time for packaging.

Please make sure the delivery address is up-to- date. Packages will only be mailed to the address listed on your {PayPal account}. If you would like the package shipped to a different location please make sure to change the address in PayPal {before} completing the transaction. Aplomb Designs is not responsible for packages delivered to incorrect addresses (unless, of course, the mistake was mine.)

Arrangements for expedited shipping may be made for an additional fee - please contact me with the details of your request PRIOR to ordering.

Items typically ship in 1-3 business days after payment is received. If you need an item sooner or by a specific date please contact me {before} purchasing and I am happy to work with you and if available will update the listing for expedited shipping.

Custom items generally take one week to create plus shipping time.

Buying more than one item... most items will list a reduced price for shipping if you purchase more than one item. This reduced rate is for items being shipped to the "same" address at the "same" time. If you are sending to separate addresses - please purchase items separately and make sure that you have updated the shipping address in PayPal prior to ordering.

CANADIAN and International Shipping
USPS offers tracking for International First Class shipping to the following countries (Canada, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Israel, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain and Switzerland). Orders to these countries will be sent via International First Class as it is the most affordable option with tracking. International shipping times for this option are not guaranteed and can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 weeks or more depending on the time of year. If you need an item by a specific date please let me know and I can get you a quote for expedited shipping.

For International orders if you are interested in purchasing more than one item please contact me before purchasing for a combined shipping quote.

OTHER INTERNATIONAL Shipping (for countries not listed above)
Please contact me for international shipping rates, making sure to include the item(s) you are interested in purchasing.

Items will ship Priority Mail International as this option offers tracking and insurance. International shipping times are not guaranteed as they are just an estimate. If you need an item by a specific date please let me know and I can get you a quote for expedited shipping.

CUSTOMS Duties, VAT, Tariffs...
The buyer is responsible for any customs duties, taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or tariffs levied after the initial US postage. These fees could be applied to your package at the discretion of your local customs officers/post office.

For UK Customers.
Please note that you will be required (by your government) to pay a VAT of 20% plus a £8 handling fee to the Royal Mail for any purchases over £15.

International customs regulations require that the value of packages being sent internationally is clearly marked on the outside of the package. I am required to declare the contents of any package I mail out of the country and cannot check "gift" on the form. I mark the customs form with "merchandise" and the value will be the amount paid for the item(s) minus shipping costs.

Sending a gift? I'm happy to include a note in the package.

If you have any questions about shipping please let me know :)

DOG Tails
The tails used for the leash holder are made of rubber with a plastic back
Measurements - approximately 4 ¾ tall

The tails are secured by sliding in place over a screw on the wood plaque. This allows for the tail to be removed to be cleaned (use a damp cloth and mild soap) or swapped out for a different color tail. Simply slide the tail up towards the top of the board and it should come right off of the holder.

What to do if the tail is loose on arrival or loosens up over time?
While most tails are snug and secure on the holder, every so often a tail can loosen up during shipping or over time from just general use. This is easily fixed just slide the tail up and off the board and adjust the screw using a screwdriver with a Phillips head. If you want to permanently attach the tail to the board a few dots of super glue on the back edge of the tail works quite nicely - I prefer Gorilla Glue brand super glue.

HOW do I attach the sawtooth hanger(s)?

When your leash holder arrives you will find either 1 or 2 sawtooth hangers in a bag on the back of the holder. This allows you to choose the best placement of the hangers on the back of your holder.

Most of the time the wood is soft enough that you can take the sawtooth hanger with the teeth side pointing down and use your fingers to press the 2 sharp points into the back of your holder - just to get it started.

Then you can then flip it over and press the sawtooth hanger against a hard surface to push the ends in securely. Just be careful that the surface you use isn't something that can be damaged by the metal hanger indenting it :)

If you find that the wood is too dense for the flip method you can take a hammer and gently tap each side of the hanger to the desired depth - just make sure to allow enough room for the nail or screw you hang it on to slide between the hanger that the wood. Note: If you want to you can remove the tail - just push if up towards the top of the holder and it will come off of the screw and lay the holder flat to tap the sawtooth holder in to the wood. Then put the tail back on and you should be good to go.
