Exactly is what I needed.
The story so far...
My main craft has always been machine sewing and when I fell pregnant with our first child, I started making little things for the nursery.
Not wanting to return to fulltime work, I made a few extras and placed them for sale.
Around the same time, my sister gave me the "Happy Hooker" book by Debbie Stoller. As my bump became too big to fit behind the sewing machine, I taught myself to crochet by making some very simple blankets for the cot.
As baby has grown, my products have diversified - through dribble bibs to crochet waistcoats and lavender-scented decorations to help him sleep.
Nowadays, I spend much of my spare time crocheting - it's so much more sociable than a rattling sewing machine!
Owner, Maker, Curator
I’ve always really enjoyed making things. From sewing lessons at school and learning to use Grandma’s sewing machine at age 8 and recently learning to crochet, I am now turning a love of crafts into a business to get a happier work-life balance.
I want you to enjoy these items as much as I enjoyed making them so if you have any suggestions, comments, complaints or ideas, please don't hesitate to contact me.
