Authentic Cambodian Sauces and Condiments

Channy Chhi Laux was born in Cambodia and immigrated to the USA in 1979. Her mother and father were second-generation immigrants from China. Her grandfather, Shu (徐), immigrated to Cambodia from Guangdong, China and later married a Cambodian.

Throughout her life, Channy developed a passion for cooking all types of food. She is especially fond of the traditional Cambodian recipes from her mother, Chheng Ly. Chheng would make Pepper Salsa year-round and share with all her friends and family, now Channy carries forward the tradition and brings the wonderful flavors of Pepper Salsa to everyone.

Living in America, Channy enjoys all different kinds of salsa: red, green, mango; and she always likes them spicy hot. With this in mind, she wanted “salsa” in her brand to convey the influence of American culture in her products.

Channy holds degrees in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from the University of Nebraska and Santa Clara University.

  • Enchanting Apsara

Inspiration for the Pepper Salsa logo comes from Apsara, the ancient Khmer Royal Dancer. Apsara are beautiful, supernatural female beings from Buddhist mythology. They are youthful, elegant, and superb in the art of dance.
