I am happy to set up payment plans. Contact me and we'll work something out.
Shipping is the responsiblity of the buyer. I like to ship via Canada Post as it is the cheapest. Depending on weight the options are; surface, air, expedited or xpress. I am happy to ship via courier if requested to do so but just to let you know you will find costs to be extremely high. If you're thinking of purchasing an item but want to know the cost for shipping before you buy then just query me. Include your postal/zipcode with your query and I will let you know the exact price that your item will be.

I do not charge a handling fee.

Whereever possible I will use recycled packaging.

Postal costs include insurance for the first $100.00 value. Additional insurance costs is $3.50 for every extra $100.00 in value. This cost is paid by you. (Prices in Canadian dollars).
Refunds and Exchanges
I offer full refunds on any defective sewing or fabric.

I'm sorry but I cannot offer refunds of any nature on custom items. Your item will be made just for you through the creation of toiles which I will ship to you, you will try on, photograph and then ship back to me for further adjustments and the creation of your outfit. This method means that you will be fully aware of the fit and style of your item before it arrives.

I know it can be difficult to imagine a dress on. For this reason I will gladly send you further details of the outfits, close-up photos, interior photos, fabric swatches or any other info you might require. If you are unsure of how the item will look on you then just send me a full body photo and I will advise you.

If you are still unsure I will offer to refund 75% of the cost of the item provided the following requirements have been met:- the item is in pristine condition and has not been worn, it has been shipped to you via a postal option with a quaranteed arrival date which is either expedited or xpress. (These 2 methods are the most expensive and payment of them will be your responsibility.) You must then return the item on the following date, via the same shipping method, i.e. if arrival date is the 1st then you must shipped the item back on 2nd. This gives you one day to make up your mind.

I'm sorry if this seems severe but I have had a customer go through the extra photos, further questions and fabric swatch steps only to change her mind after keeping the dress for 3 weeks.
Additional policies and FAQs
There are two options available for custom orders.

1. A general fit which is based on your bust, waist and hip measurements. All other measurements are the standard ones used in the fashion industy.

Delivery time is 3-4 weeks depending on my schedule and the complexity of the outfit.

2. A more fitted item which will be based on your personal measurements. This method is the best one for items like rococo or victorian jackets/bodices.

This method will involve your participation so please read the following carefully.

1. I email you a measurement chart with instruction.
2. You follow the instructions and email the measurements to me along with a front and back photograph of you in a tight fitting. This is important as it will show me where your body differs from standard pattern construction.
3. I make a pattern and then cut and sew a toile (mock-up) and mail it to you via the postal system. I pay the cost for this service.
4. I email you examples of the photographs I need from you.
5. You put the toile on as per my instructions, take the necessary photographs then email them to me.
6. I view the photos and should I need more photos or photo corrections you repeat step no. 5.
7. When I have all the necessary photos you then mail the toile back to me. You pay this cost.
8. I begin construction of the item when I receive the toile.

Delivery time using this method varies depending on how quickly you follow through AND on the postal systems involved. (Delivery time through the Canadian/US system is usually 1 week there and 1 week back). This means the overall completion time of your item is 5-6 weeks.

To speed up either method I will gladly use a courier service but the buyer will be responsible for this cost.

Please note* I have been told by every shipping service that they cannot guarantee any delivery date where customs in involved.
