About Arborvore
About Arborvore
Arborvore, literally translated, means “tree eater” – an apt name for our handcrafted woodenware for home and table. Eating with tree-made utensils is as old as humanity and is something that still resonates deeply within us all. An Arborvore tool in your hand enhances your cooking, serving, and eating experiences, connecting you to the warmth and beauty that only wooden utensils provide.
Each item is carefully crafted by hand from wood gathered in the forests of New Hampshire. We finish our woodenware with a combination of organic walnut oil and organically produced beeswax that gives them a soft and supple feel.
Arborvore is an extension of Ninth Wave Designs – a natural branching out from the wood carving and Celtic inspired illuminations of Lisa Laughy. For this venture, Lisa has partnered with Suzanne Isabelle, co-owner and main spoon carver for Arborvore.
Lisa is also on Etsy as Ninth Wave Designs: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ninthwavedesigns
