If you are looking for the most authentic Wendy Darling gown, Aria's design is definitely the one! The soft cotton fabric is hand dyed a lovely blue, and she uses sewing techniques appropriate to the time period of the original story. Aria provided me with excellent customer service from my first inquiry to the time of shipment. I am so happy with this beautiful gown, and I know I will wear it over and over!

Payment
PAYMENT INFORMATION: I accept Square for payments. An invoice will be sent to you from from Square Invoicing with payment instructions, AFTER all sizing information is received and details are agreed upon. While payment isn't made the very second you order, it is much more secure than Paypal. By paying with a credit or debit card, you are protected and still have the right to file disputes, only with your card-issuer directly. Paypal also requires that good be delivered within 21 days, which is simply not alway possible when something is custom-made and will take longer than 21 days to produce and ship.

RUSH ORDERS: ANY gown with a needed-by date less than four weeks after order, unless otherwise stated in the listing, will incur a rush fee. The general rush fees are 25% for 21-28 days, 50% for 14-20 days plus an upgrade to overnight shipping, and 100% for fewer than 14 days plus an upgrade to overnight shipping. I can not always accommodate rush order.

I know rush fees aren't popular, but they are industry standard. For single-person businesses, like I am, accommodating rush orders can mean canceling personal plans, rearranging our schedules entirely, working very long hours (do you like to work 12 hours a day without being paid overtime?), or hiring babysitters who wouldn't otherwise be needed. While most day cares used by parents who work outside the home full time have very modest fees, or sometimes no fees, for a bit of extra time, for those of us who aren't parents and don't use day cares, we have to hire babysitters who can be very expensive depending on area. Any costs associated with a rush order will be passed to the client, which is what the rush fee is for, otherwise I may end up not only making money, but losing enough money that I would have come out financially ahead by declining the order.

In big businesses where an unknown person can be assigned to make a garment with an order-taker acting as the go-between, with small, one-person businesses, like Aria Couture and many others on Etsy, there is no one else to pass the extra work off to. The benefit is you only deal directly with the person making your creation, but the downside is that this exclusivity comes with a cost, especially if you wait until the last minute to order and we have to put our personal lives on the back burner. If you were in our shoes, you'd feel the same way.

This is why it's so important to plan ahead for your vacations, parties, Confirmations, and other events. I do what I can to accommodate rush orders.

You may be able to find a hobbyist who wants to make extra money to fund the hobby who has tons of extra times, but please understand that a true business does this full-time. This isn't an occasional-order order operation with a gown sold and made every month or two. This is an operation that takes 40 or 50 hours a week, sometimes more, a lot of time spent honing and perfecting skills to get a quality you just won't find with someone who makes something here and there. It's talent AND a skill that requires time, lots of time, and for businesses, it's typical to expect bookings months into the future, making a rush order being accepted a privilege at all, not a right with no additional fees.


CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS: Once an order is placed, there are no cancellations or refunds. Sorry, but as soon as an order is placed, I purchase the fabrics needed to safeguard against price increases and schedule your order into my agenda.


TAXES: Due to state laws, I have to collect sales tax for items shipped to the states of California and Washington. If a business has an affiliate (whether it's someone who does work for a company, or who promotes, or who makes purchases, or is in any way affiliated with the business) in the state, then California requires the business to collect sales tax. As I am a registered business, I have to collect and remit sales tax, and can not make exceptions. Since I have to keep shipping records, there's a paper trail of what's been shipped and to where.
Shipping
Within the US, items under $150 ship via USPS with delivery confirmation, or UPS at my discretion (and I will pay any additional fees if I use this method). All other items ship UPS. For international orders, orders will be shipped via USPS, and I am not responsible for items getting caught up in customs or otherwise taking a while in shipping. Sometimes items get to their destinations quickly, and sometimes they take months. This is not in my control, and you agree, by using a non-US shipping address, to hold me harmless if a package takes a longer time in shipping than the post office estimates. If you wish, UPS can be used, which guarantees a delivery date since any customs fees are billed directly to me instead of collected from you, but the cost is substantially higher, and you will be responsible for payment.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds or exchanges are only allowed for errors on my part, not for changing your mind. No money paid is refundable if you wish to cancel.
