As my family knows and my husband is well aware, I am a candle junkie. I lived my early childhood in Indiana with snow storm that could keep you electricity out for days. My first views of candle were of respect. Candles are a source of light, heat and hope. As I grew older I started to understand how to use candles for motivation, creativity and to change ones atmosphere.

This love of candles is years old and as everyone who has been given a candle or purchased from a wide variety of companies, not all candles care for you. I learned about different metals found in wicks, chemicals of all sorts found in waxes and the oils. It had me worried a bit as I really enjoy candle for working in the garden and keeping bugs away, too soothe after a stressful day or even here in Florida, have them ready as an available light source during hurricanes.

The idea came from my husband after another moment of "what went wrong with this one" and he said the magic words.... Why not make your own. I just looked at him. For a while I brushed off the idea as I am a fretter by nature and finally after more and more research, I bought soy wax.

I have been testing my candles for years on my family and for the past couple of years, have been expanding my horizons with the Hoggetown Medieval Festival and other local festival.
Candles are a sensory experience and having a moment to let your senses wonder is hard as we all trying to stay safe in these crazy times. I'm just trying to continue to learn and produce safe candles that you can trust to enjoy in your home and mine.
